IRVING, Texas — Hostess Brands Inc. is permanently closing three bakeries following a nationwide strike by its bakers union. The Texas-based maker of Twinkies and Ding Dongs says the strike has prevented it from producing and delivering products. Hostess warned earlier this month that the strike, by about 30 percent of its workforce, could lead to bakery closures. It said Monday that it will close bakeries in Seattle, St. Louis and Cincinnati that collectively employ 627 workers. The company has about 18,300 employees. Just wait. I bet Pres. Obama’s Labor Relations Board intervenes and says that Hostess can’t shut the factories merely for a labor dispute. Refer to Boeing’s attempt to close a union shop in Seattle and transfer work to a new plant in South Carolina. Disallowing the plant closures would only be an evolved position from that.
I hope the Hostess owner goes Galt.

Just when you think things couldn't get any more bizarre or sordid, David Petraeus is reported to have naked pictures of Little Debbie on his hard drive.

Mrs. Petraeus said to be "livid."

Dang it, that is funny. I had just cleaned my monitor - now it has a fresh spray of coffee, once again. Thanks, I needed a laugh!

Hey, if I owned something the unions were successfully killing, I would just shut it down as well and move on to the next thing.

Stop and think about what this means to the Unions....
Obama did say he wanted to do to other companies what he did to the auto industry, didn’t he?
Another ‘Employee owned’ business fullfils Obama’s promise to return the wealth to its rightful owners!

Little Debbie has inexpensive Fig Newtons and Pecan Rolls. They are healthy and good for snacks between meals.

Now, if they would mix them together, we could have a new, healthy item, Fig Rolls.

I hope the union gets battered right out of existence. I’d say it kneads to happen.

I love the puns and the punster(s).

Go ahead and call me an agitator.

Hostess (Interstate Brands) was in BK some years ago.

I thought I'd read that somewhere and noticed the lack of their products in the stores I rarely enter.

Good thing I know how to cook from scratch!

Moose, caribou, buffalo, salmon, halibut, scallops, shrimp, king crab, ruffed grouse and trout are better tasting and healthier than store bought food.

100 years ago Unions were a necessity to stop what was back then true work place abuses in factories owned by ones such as Carnegie, Rockefeller, Morgan, and others. Todays Unions consist of corrupt at the top organizations ran by persons who never did a days manual labor likely in their lives. Today any individual should be able and allowed to bargain with their employer for their own skills worth. The worker of today unlike the 1890’s have many others they can bargain their skills too.

Sometimes true.

But using flour, cornmeal, rice, oatmeal, yeast, sugar and salt, corn, green beans and/or tomatoes with bacon fat will always make anything edible, palatable!

Hint to the stupid: When home canning vegetables, it is extremely important to fill the sterilized jar to the brim, and ensure it is properly boil sealed.
Otherwise, it's just another 5th grade science experiment in growing deadly poisons...

“Destroy them. Union maggots will never find another job.
Starve the beast.”

Exactly. EVERY business owner across the LAND needs to stand up to these leeches.

Take away their jobs. Start your company up again under another name, while letting the Public know who you were/are.

NEVER allow another Union Thug on your property. Ever.

God. Bless America.

Hostess needs to reorganize under bankruptcy and get rid of the unions.
