"We went into the evening confident we had a good path to victory," said one senior adviser. "I don't think there was one person who saw this coming."

Did my vote count? I’m not sure anymore.

He had real solutions and I agree with one poster here who said he underestimated how stupid people are today. Maybe he played things a little close to his vest but I feel that once elected he would have made a great president. I didn’t always feel that way but he won me over. I hope he stays a relevant voice like Sarah Palin has. He has at least earned a bully pulpit of sorts to point out Obamas failures.

None of the numbers add up. Republican party ID versus Dim ID had swung towards the pubbies by 12 points since 2008 according to Ras. Republican party ID was at the highest in Oct it has ever been according to Ras. People don’t switch ID to sit at home, it means they’re actively involved. Huge turnount at the RR rallies as well as a huge disparity in overall support as witnessed by yard signs, stickers etc.

Romeny isn’t a true conservative by any stretch but he understands numbers about as well as anyone. He stated the night before the election that “it’s over”. He had gone over these numbers relentlessly and he knew exactly where he stood. Republicans had made up tremendous ground as opposed to 2008 in the early and absentee voting and yet couldn’t even match McCains pathetic numbers????

This is a failed presidency. And yet with all of the data indicating a huge turn towards the pubbies just as in 2010 the empty chair still gets north of 300 ev’s.

Obama’s advice to his supporters to “stay calm” on election day when turnout appears to be going against them seems especially prescient. Numerous precints reporting over 99% support for one candidate reeks of fraud.

Romney had every right to be stunned.

“Doesn’t anybody else?”

I do and I always will. When O ran against McCain, we knew he would probably win. However, I personally saw a big change in my area alone. More Romney signs, few O signs, and people I knew who had voted for O were now voting for Romney. I don’t know how... but I will always feel this election was tampered with. IMHO.

Romney shouldn’t be shocked. Voting stealing has been going on for decades and the Republicans do nothing about it.

Count how many precincts had amazing 100% ( or more) turn out with zero votes for Romney.

When our courts were still honest enough to hold to the rule of law, the Republicans should have done something about this. Now, it is too late. Nearly every cultural institution in our nation is filled to the brim with Marxists, especially our courts, law schools, and the media who will ignore it.

This was all turned on its head.

Obama's fundraising struggles.

Obama's small crowds.

The freak-outs by liberals who also saw their loss as inevitable.

Obama's unemployment numbers spelled his doom.

Obama's GDP growth spelled his doom.

Obama's approval rating under 50%

I suspect party-line ballots were used in "safe" Dem precincts to ensure statewide wins.

That is why we saw so many Senate races go to the Dems (another unprecendented event)

But district races remained GOP while we even expanded our hold on the House.

Both Pennsylvania and Wisconsin went 100% Democrat statewide, while regional races went nearly 100% Republican.

If it smells like a deadfish, its probably a deadfish.

Call me crazy but there needs to be an investigation into the computer system with the results. It IS a shock! There is something fishy, I believe. How hard would it be to tamper with the computers? We already know numerous people were cheating; voting more than once, and some not even registered. I am a level headed person all the time; and a professional as well but I detect something weird. Doesn’t anybody else?

Give yourself some time. See if you feel the same way in a month or so.

Romney's advisers, lol, they have nothing to worry about because the Grand Old (Stupid) Party will hire these ignorant “sages” again.

You don't win on fear; fear of being called a racist, fear of being called a wealthy hoarder, fear of being called insensitive for having fiscal sense by calling for spending cuts.

‘Who dares wins’ should be the strategy. For years Dems played the meme that Bush broke the economy, never mind the fact that Obama sued a bank for “red lining’ (community activist) and voted for huge spending binges while being a State/Federal Senator. All this should of been blasted on the airwaves along with the price of gasoline coupled with crippling regulations by Obama’s Executive Branch, devaluing of the dollar by spending binges, not passing a budget in years, and a lower credit rating because hope and change failed, not some festering crash whose beginnings happen years before Bush was sworn in.

You need to destroy your opponent and then specifically announce a contrasting platform that will bring growth back. Romney's advisers had no problem with the first part of that equation during the primary, but during the general...put the silk gloves on while expecting a large turn out. Obama ran rings around the GOP stooges, simple as that because they kept daring and won.

Ok, there it is. The reason why there was a perceived lack of advertising? Because they spent their money on where it counted, to woo their and potential Romney voters. In areas where they did not have a chance, why waste resources there?

I was impressed on what I read. And you know that they did not give out the “secret sauce” on the specifics.

I wonder if Team Romney just outsourced everything to the old school machine. Hello, Rove, I am talking to you here...

What did Savage say, olezip?

Over a period of months, Savage made several remarks and observations. One was that he, Savage, had lunch with Romney and that he was a good man, but an establishment candidate. Mike said that Romney's handlers would never let Romney talk to Mike on the air and answer questions. They were probably afraid of what Savage might ask, unlike other political candidates who welcomed the opportunity to be heard. For example, Donald Trump talked to Mike Savage on the air more than once.

Cannot say I heard all remarks by Savage because I am not always able to hear his program.

You should ask Mike for details. I am just one of his listeners.

Romney couldn’t beat Obama?

Romney didn’t beat McCain.

Disgraceful. A billion dollar campaign? What did Republicans get for their money?

McCain, 2008 popular vote: 58,319,442

Romney, 2012 popular vote: 58,163,978

That is the biggest fact of this election and no one is talking about it.

Pretty simple. Stupid GOP primary voters nominated the candidate with the most baggage and a history of losing elections because of it. They were warned about “vulture capitalism” in the primary by Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich. At Bain Capital Romney presided over the demise of many companies and laying off of workers. Yes, that’s because that’s what private equity firms do, take over troubled companies which are likely to fail. But that produced a ton of people for the Dems to put in ads to complain that Romney laid them off and ruined their lives. It killed Romney in his 1994 Senate race and killed him in this race. He only did as well as he did because people really hated Obama. But the white, blue-collar voters stayed home because they were scared off by the ads about what Romney did at Bain.

Romney was always the least electable primary candidate on a very fundamental level. The only way he could’ve won was to go hardcore negative on Obama to drive Obama’s turnout down even more. He knew how to do it. He did it to Newt Gingrich in Florida. But he didn’t do it. Possibly because it was hard to credibly bash Obama over things like Obamacare when he designed the prototype for it, Romneycare.

It is ironic that a man known for his prowess as a CEO was unable to assemble a competent staff for his campaign.

Romney was able to make money because he had money and a nice smile to help him at the art of making a deal. Private equity, i.e. vulture capitalists simply sign desperate, troubled companies onto bad deals that can't go wrong for the venture capital firm. It doesn't take any skill because they make money whether the companies they take over fail or succeed. They help the companies borrow a bunch of stimulus money and make them cut expenses. Then the company either succeeds or fail on its own and Bain profits either way. At best Romney was a good "stock picker" in terms of picking companies that would rebound. But he was only a CEO of pushing money around, much like a hedge fund manager. He didn't actually work on practical, functional tasks within a company.
