“We already have a shallow narcissist in the Oval Office who has accomplished nothing in life except for political success.”

Best of all, he is not legally president.

I have no idea what the citizenship rules were in 1971-74 when the Bushes met and married. It was different times then than now

Maybe some folks who served in SEA and married Vietnamese/Thai ladies in that time (there were a lot) could tell us their experiences with their spouses becoming naturalized

If they did, I don’t give a flying frap because tens of thousands of Americans who marry foreign citizens did and still try to do the same thing, expedite citizenship change before children are born and careers are established

If you want to resent the Bush family, try another reason

The Bush Family is turning into the Kennedy Family.

NO MORE BUSH!

They are like an infection that won't heal.

Because we did not have computers to communicate. What a wonderful thing computers are for learning and exchanging information.

This has always applied to the office of the president and V.P. This does not affect dual citizens running and holding other offices in our crooked government.

From what I just read, George P. cannot run for president.

Thank the gawds.

why not?
obama did.
twice.
wanna bet George P was actually born in a US hospital and has a long form birf certificate?

BTW, where were were Bobbie Jindal’s parents born and were either of them US citizens when he was born? How about Nikki Haley’s?

Marco Rubio’s parents were not naturalized until 4 years after he was born.

“by birth you are what your mother is, ask any Jew”

Jews as far as I know are the only nationality that claim their mother’s heritage makes them Jewish. Most nationalities use the father’s heritage.

As far as George P. Bush, I have always thought that ole Jeb
should have a paternity test done. The boy looks 100% mexican. Does not remotely resemble his claimed father.

You need to learn to read and do your homework.

I have to conclude you are not the brightest bulb in the room.

I do not waste my time trying to exchange ideas with stupidity.

Here is a piece of interesting information for you:

Back in 1932, if one was born outside the U.S. and the father was a U.S. citizen, the children were U.S. citizens. If the father was NOT a U.S. Citizen but the mother was, forget it. Citizenship was only passed on through the father.

This law was changed in 1936 but was not retroactive.

I know what it’s about. It’s about the same thing that caused Hannity to “evolve his stance” on illegal immigration last night. The GOP-E is in a panic about Romney losing, and they think the only way that their moderate candidates will win is by pandering even more to hispanics. Look for them to start lining up in support of the DREAM act and pushing a Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio ticket in 2016.

Columba Bush became a naturalized citizen in 1987.

Thank you so much. I love you for sharing that information with me and others.

This means George P. cannot be president.

Too bad. So sad.

Again, I thank you for that important piece of information, which I was not able to find on my own. We have to save it.

My wonderful best to you and your family.

Here is another question to which I could never find an answer as much as I researched it:

When did Mitt Romney’s father become an American citizen if indeed he ever became one?

I know it doesn’t matter now, but I am still curious.

Thank you.

“His mother is Mexican, so he would have the heritage and interests to do this...”

He does it for reasons of pandering. That is the problem.

Some discussion on that issue here but I’ve not researched it and don’t intend to.
