According to the Washington Post, the Ford Foundation has given the newspaper some $500,000 to hire four new staff – a lucrative $125,000 per job deal. The goal: to try “new approaches to preserve and advance high-quality journalism.” The four new positions will “work on special projects related to money, politics and government … The one-year-grant – with an agreement in principal for two additional years – is part of the Foundation’s Freedom of Expression program, an initiative aimed at promoting journalism in the public interest.” The Ford Foundation recently handed $1 million to the Los Angeles Times to cover “Vietnamese, Korean and other immigrant communities, the California prison system, the border region and Brazil.”

Why? The Ford Foundation has nothing to do with the automaker that refused a bailout and in true American fashion, pulled forward on its own - quite differently than GM or Chrysler. I’ve bought nothing but Fords for the past 4 years (2), well, other than Peterbilt tractors for my business.

So a liberal political group has literally bought themselves four journalists at this paper. Well, at least they are in the open about it.

Maybe we should just pass disclosure laws, and make the reporters wear the logos of their sponsors when they are on the air, like in NASCAR. That way, Americans will know that Rachel Maddow is brought to you by Planned Parenthood and Ed Schultz is sponsored tonight by SEIU.

>>>>Remember that Zer0’s Commie Mommie had some kind of funding connection from the Ford Foundation back in the day.

The head of the Ford Foundation used to be Peter Geithner, a friend of Obama’s mother (Ann Dunham), and the father of Tim Geithner, whom Obama appointed as Secretary of the Treasury.

I wasn't talking about the Ford Foundation.

Zero teamed up with Bill Ayers to use Annenberg money to fund a communist takeover of the Chicago schools.

There were other “projects” of a similar ilk in Zero's Chicago resume.

Do you have vote fraud? All of those mentioned, plus Teamsters, one suspects.

As an unwilling union member for decades, I can promise you that they are a political arm of the Dem party, with the only question being, who runs whom?

As an unwilling union member for decades,

Do you believe you were the only union member who wasn't a democrat? Aren't most union members US citizens and taxpayers ? I'm not pro union, but I'm an unabashed Patriot and supporter of US manufacturers and labor.

Aren't Honda headquarters in Japan? Are you Japanese or an American citizen?
