Christie rejects blame for Romney's loss, looks forward — maybe to '16

"As a party, we have to look forward to what our challenges are in the future," Christie said. "This election is over. So we have to look forward to the next challenges."

As the party figures out how to attract Hispanics, women and young people, Republicans may look toward Christie as a frontrunner for the 2016 nomination. He leads a blue and diverse state, walks the walk on bipartisanship and could steer the party away from the far right.

Cory Booker, mayor of Newark, is considering a run for governor.

I will vote for Booker.

...and he’ll be the second democrat for whom I’ve ever voted.

Don’t you see what Christie’s group grope with Obama presiding over the Sandy “recovery” efforts was about? The cabal on the left did this as a trial run in case they can’t get someone further to the left of obama in 2016. Christie is the left’s backup plan and the media will be fawning over him right up until the 2016 primaries and he is the nominee.

If he tries to run they will resurrect Sandy, and the poor post hurricane handling we are seeing on TV.

Line will be: Obama cleared the way for you, but you couldn’t manage when
people needed you, so you can’t manage the US......

They got their photo op, and left him holding the blame bag.

I hope we mean it this time. We, including myself, buckled on Romney. No more. I can assure myself of that by not voting at all anymore, and that’s my intention. Next week I go to unregister.

I mean it.

I caved this time because I felt it was our last and only chance. I still believe it was our last and only chance, so why bother with a RINO in 2016?

Republican party is dead, and America has already fallen off the cliff. They just don’t know it yet, until the impact anyway.

I never understood why so many people thought Christie was a Conservative..yeah he goes after the Union thugs and yells at them..tell me who other than leftist turds actually love the unions..I hate the unions too maybe I should run for President. Christie showed exactly what he was all about at the RNC Convention..a Convention which was about promoting Romney and going after Obama, and what did Christie do..he mentioned only HIMSELF..hardly mentioned Obama’s name at all and only waited til the end to mention Romney..Christie is ALL about himself..Christie isnt hard to please, just have Springsteen give him a shout out and he is happy as a clam. Isn’t that sad, that all it took to make Christie happy was to have his “Hero” Springsteen say what a great Gov Christie is..
But I have a question for NY and NJ..where is your dollar..where is your Stafford Act..because so far I haven’t seen things getting better in NY or NJ..maybe Obama doesn’t care about you after all

Republicans in NJ are going to be crawling over broken glass to vote for the Mob Democrat, just so they can make this guy go away.

I could see him being nominated.

He’ll lose just like McCain and Romney. I won’t vote for him as I didn’t Romney. but republican primary voters and establishment could convince themselves he’s “electable”. LOL

Such a laugh...”electable” should mean has a fighting shot to win even under harsh conditions. Not what they mean. Which basically comes down to “Liberal Republican with no principles that can even blow en election against Carteresque conditions”.

On the bright side this kinds of kills once and for all that Reagan won just because he gave a good debate and Carter was inept. Now they are trying to say it’s demographics. No, losers, it’s because your candidates stink.

You all said the same thing about Romney in 2008-9-10-11....And what did people do? Made him the nominee. When I see all this negative stuff going towards Christie on here, I fear that Christie just might be our nominee in 2012....the same scenario is playing out. This is Romney part 2 happening right before our eyes.....Wake up people. No more losers...you had your loser Romney.....Can we PLEASE have conservative Santorum in 2016? I can see it now....the Christie cheerleaders will happen around February 2016...Ugh!!!!!! Oh and those of us who find Christie a liberal will be blasted for saying such things and FREEPERS will be saying how wonderful Christie is....Good Lord.

“Oh and those of us who find Christie a liberal”

I don’t know if he’s a liberal or not, since I never paid much attention to the guy before the convention, but I do consider him a TRAITOR for providing Obama with the photo-ops that gave him an edge the weekend before the election.

That makes him more reprehensible than anyone who is simply a RINO could ever be.

I was just saying, tie some ropes to Christie and float him over the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.

Some RINOs are more likable than other RINOs and Christie isn't even likable!

He was a novelty at first for arguing with teacher unions, but that got old a long time ago!

He is just a disgustingly fat jerk.
