You are persona no grata in the Republican party. You will never achieve any nomination in the Republican party again so go and declare as a Democrat!

Look at the numbers, people. Obama's vote total in 2012 was about the same as Kerry's losing vote total in 2004 -- and there are a lot more registered voters today, too.

Obama won because a lot of conservatives simply stayed home for one reason or another. Personally, I suspect a lot of people wailing and gnashing their teeth on FreeRepublic this morning stayed home, too.

you’re kidding me right??? this is Christie’s fault??? obama received 7 million less votes this time around than in 2008....George Bush received more votes in 2004 than obama did last night....McLame received more votes than Romney last night...

Christie’s fault?? no- blame the GOP who’s fought like little girls since 2006 and who turned their backs on us (the Tea Party) after we handed them their most decisive victory in more than a dozen years in 2010..,.Christie?? that’s an excuse- not the cause of the problem...

He put his own reelection above the party and the nation. That’s enough to cost him any support I might have given him.

I agree with you.

Our problems are bigger than Chris Christie. And that’s saying a lot.

Christy is not that powerful regardless what Fox wants you to believe. New Jersey voters did not win national election for Obama.

What about all the campaigning he did for Romney/Ryan?

Why should Chris Christie switch parties? He’s the poster boy for the new Republican Party.

What voters did he possibly sway outside of New Jersey and New York, where Romney was never going to get even 40% of the vote, let alone win?

It is not just New Jersey voters.....

bye...I'm not in the mood to put up with a Freeper Dummycrat. If you think that photo shoot did not have an effect, so be it. Why do you think Obama called around to see if some poor schmuck would pal up with him? Why do you think Obama stopped his campaign? He gained much during that propaganda stunt.

Notice how I spell Chirsty, he deserves a girlie name. But he had no swing regarding electoral votes.

Romney was ahead in the polls until Christies love fest. Oboma jumped up 3 points after their romantic stroll down the boardwalk.

Yeah, he helped Oboma look "presidential" big time.

No one can claim he lost us the election, but what was close may have been a win had it not been for the visuals and the unending praise by Christie being shown on the TV for days before the election.

Oboma couldn't have asked for a better campaign commercial than that one. It was a winner! And it was a Republican playing the staring role!

You are thinking small, look at the big picture. Romney won the popular vote. Christy had no swing on electoral votes. Calling a fellow FR names is uncalled for.

Chris Christie didn’t help but neither did Romney. I kept waiting to see him being interviewed on TV but he never appeared. His face should have been out there...

Romney was still ahead in the polls yesterday morning....fact is the GOP is run like the Chicago Cubs franchise; everything looks great until the real game starts- then they fall apart...

Hear, hear!

“We have met the enemy and he is us.”

N.B. We hear the word ‘rino’ all the time, ‘dino’, not so much.

Why is that?

that’s the thing...from a national perspective what did Romney give us but one really good debate performance???

seriously- most people, including a lot of Freepers, were wondering through late September if Romney really wanted to win...

“Face it we had a weak candidate. Flip flop Mitt should never been nominated. Blaming Christy is not the answer.”

This obvious truth will be ignored or denied by most.

you’re kidding me right??? this is Christie’s fault???

Also, BTW, the military didn't get to vote this time. Afghan ballots were "lost" and according to the DOJ, the military didn't request any absentee ballots for other places, either.
I wonder how this election would have turned out had our military personal not been blocked out.
