I plan to cancel cable tv, quit the health club, am putting off purchases that I had planned IF Romney had won.
Am happy to hear ideas...I have to say my spouse was literally in tears last night, thinking about what dangers we face (not just as a family but as a society and a nation). We prayed together, asking God to guide us. HE knew this was going to happen, and HE can use this for HIS glory.
We just want to be as wise as possible with the resources God has provided.
So we welcome your input.

You pose some interesting options silverleaf. Had another discussion with a good friend yesterday before the results were known. It centered around incentive, the driving force in a free market economy vs lack of incentive in the socialist or spread the wealth economy. When govt takes from the producer and gives to the non producer, it only takes one harvest for the producer to get the hint, that the only way things are going to be fair, is for him to stop producing.

He is fully prepared to call their bluff and cares not for the people who will suffer (military, seniors) if the GOP stands up to him. After all, HE WON

Then no excuses but the democrats OWN the results
The last time this almost happened in 2010 the democrats scrambled like HELL to save the “Bush tax cuts” because they KNOW Soetero’s tax increases will strangle the economy

It would be better to pay off all debt, and then if you have enough to pay cash, get the car. I'm expecting hyper-inflation by the end of Obama's term, which would make your cash worthless.
Do the home repairs, replace the car, don't hold on to too much cash.

I am going in this morning and annoucing that after 40 years... we are forced to close due to losses and taxes and regulations that we can no longer afford. HOW in the hell am I going to move on with MY life... when 40 years of my life was destroyed in four. What is wrong with you? Can’t you see past the end of your nose?

Had a conversation with a friend just yesterday. He said if Obama won he and his wife were going to the Phillipines where they already own land.

Already gone. It’s been working out very well the last 4 years. Non-essential spending is at a minimum. Immediate family gatherings have increased. Philosophies of freedom and faith are discussed regularly and grow stronger. Everybody is working and receiving awards/raises/accolades. Everyone is trained for using firearms. We are healthy, cohesive, coherent and have never been stronger. Life in this collective of family and friends is FANTASTIC!
We have DEFUNDED socialist collectives, spoken out against BIG GOVERNMENT socialism/totalitarianism and DEPOPULATED socialists/liberals/progressives/liars/deceivers/totalitarians/parasites from our lives and voted against them in our government.
Life, health, liberty, preparedness BUMP!
I left that organization years ago, so at least they havent been fattening up those cardinals on MY dime.

I think we can each figure out who is conservative...probably already know those who are in our lives who are already...but, having said that we can do something like an Angies List here if Jim would go for it. I don’t know if this is the right format.

I’m not sure I agree, but I know what you are getting at. I’m not sure banking on total disaster just to hang everything on the dems is a good approach. But then banking on the balls of a few embattled Republicans in the US House

People are getting ready to go Galt whether they like it or not, and it's not just in this country.
People think the Muslims were unglued before, watch them now.
IMO we just took one step closer to full blown WWIII.
Trust me. NO ONE is more prepped than I am and I went Galt 4 years ago. I have no fantasy that I will be the one to eat the food or be warm by the fire. Even with all the lead and steel I have I can’t win every time and if I lose once, well, that’s it.
