Why do we care what Ellen says?

They day I heard Degeneres would get this award (Oct. 18) I happened to be channel flipping.

Degeneres’ show that day featured 5 male underwear models (nearly naked of course). One segment was Nicole Ritchie (yes, Paris Hilton’s friend) blind-folded and smelling them to try and detect some fragrance.

Another segment was the men roaming the audience to the hoots and pawing of Degeneres’ mostly female audience.

And America’s leftist “cultural elite” is honoring her for this?

So how’s having Degenerate as a spokes person working out for you,
JC Penney?

Thanks to everyone at PBS. I am so happy to be a part of your final season.

For once I commend Ellen on her prescience. Predicting a Romney win and the end of PBS at a gathering of the politically ignorant is marvelous.

I quit watching her when she shifted from being professionally funny to professionally gay.

She may have endeared herself to a very small minority, but she alienated over 90% of the country that still thinks one’s sexual orientation is a private matter, and not for public exploitation.

If this makes me “unenlightened”, then I’ll just sit here in the dark, thank you.

Can anything represent the sheer lameness of our current “cultural elites” more than this? That’s really the only bit of humor to genuinely be found here... the twisted, dark humor of embarrassment over how a heritage of vibrant American culture and witty humorists has devolved to the point of Ellen Degeneres receiving a Mark Twain award amidst a slew of smug, elitist grievance-peddlers?

For laughs, consult top producer Cappy McGarr, who insisted Ellen wasn't picked for political reasons: "The Kennedy Center is apolitical. We have had so many people who have their own brand and type of humor. We don't pick winners because of any advocacy they do. It is all about funny and a funny life."

Where was Shecky Green's tribute?

"Sacred Cow"?

And there I thought she was a bull-****.

Oh well. I guess I'm confused.

(Tina) Fey said. "But for everybody else, it's a win-win -- Unless you're a gay woman who wants to marry your partner of 20 years"

FACTCHECK, if memory recall serves me properly, Ellen's so-called life partner had a psychological breakdown from issues dealing with her abnormal sexual relationship, ran out, then eventually married a man.

It was the laws of nature that made her leave the relationship, not the laws of man.

Witness the Latino comedian John Leguizamo. "How about that, people? A gay woman on PBS with public money and the Kennedys, huh? It's like the Tea Party's worst nightmare, being chased by a binder full of smart women into an event like this,

Which one of the Kennedys was it that reportedly respected women and didn't treat them as just a piece of slimy tail?

Jack? Bobby? Ted?

Shut the hell up about things you comedians no nothing about.

"The success of Sarah Palin and women like her is good for all women -- except, of course, those who will end up, you know, like, paying for their own rape kit and stuff," Fey said.

In Houston Texas we have a lesbian mayor. We have one of the nation's largest gay pride parades.

However the t!tty bars now require the women to wear pasties and the mayor pushed through a $5 "rape tax" on admissions (which was being fought in the courts) because of the implication that staring a nekkid ladies dancing causes rape.

It is the corrupt Democrat run city of Houston that has backlogged the testing of rape kits and built over a billion dollars worth of sports areas while shuttering our existing sports facilities.
