Muslim Organization Wants Broward Schools To Recognize Holidays [Miami Media Promotes Islam]

– The Florida chapter of a well known Muslim organization is asking the Broward School Board’s diversity committee to consider adding two Islamic holidays to the school calendar.

At a meeting Thursday night, members of the Council on American Islamic Relations, or CAIR, asked that Eid al-Fitr – the end of Ramadan – and Eid-al Adha, which marks the end of Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, be considered holidays for Muslim students.

If approved, Broward County would be the first school district in Florida, and one of only a few in the country to add the holidays, which would fall on different days every year, depending on the calendar.

The group acknowledges that observing students are granted excused absences for the holidays, but some teachers and administrators aren’t sensitive to the families’ needs.

Just saw some local Miami coverage of this "controversy". The Christians and Jewish parents who disagreed with this proposal were painted as bigots.

I have two ideas that are better:

1) Immediately end all Muslim immigration.

2) Shut down the government K-12 schools. Work toward complete separation of school and state.

Religion in the government's socialist-funded and single payer schools has been a problem since their inception in the mid-1800. There were even riots and deaths in the Kensington section of Philadelphia in the 1840s.

Fundamental principle #1:.....It is impossible to have a religiously neutral school. Geeze! American’s a slow learners. They just can't wrap their minds around this.

Fundamental principle #2....If Islam and its demands are a threat, don't import Muslims. Make certain that non-citizen Muslims leave when their visas expire. Simple.

Solutions: Begin the process of privatizing all education. Stop Muslim immigration.
