'My party is full of racists': Former Colin Powell aide blasts GOP after Romney adviser says ex-Secretary of State is only supporting Obama because he's black
-Retired Colonel John Wilkerson is a Republican who served as General Colin Powell's chief of staff -John Sununu claims Mr Powell is supporting the President's election campaign because of their shared race -Says the former US Secretary of State - who is African American - did not make decision based on policy -Poll show race for White House is racially divided with Obama supported by 80% of black and Hispanic voters but just 37% of whites -Data also shows president is struggling to connect with whites who voted for him four years ago
Colin Powell's former chief of staff publicly blasted the Republican Party and one of Mitt Romneys top aide as racists over a controversial comment regarding Powells endorsement of President Obama.
Appearing on Ed Schultz's MSNBC show Friday, retired Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson said, 'My party is full of racists' in response to John Sununu's remark that the only reason Powell, a Republican who served as secretary of state under George W. Bush, backed the Democratic incumbent is because both men are black.
Wilkerson told Schultz that he respected Sununu 'as a Republican,' but did not have any respect for the integrity of the position that [Sununu] seemed to codify.

They can just shut up and go away. They aren’t swaying anyone’s opinion, nor is their opinion relevant.
Race is only part of it. They share a common ideology.
Are any of the 95% of blacks who voted for Obama racist??? Nahh, didn’t think so Colin.
Who died and elected the Mr. Wilkerson as spokesman for the GOP?
Really, both he and Powell should drop all pretenses and just say that they are liberal democrats.
Race is only part of it. They share a common ideology.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Thats right, they share Rev. Ralph Wrights black theology, that the black race is superior to all others. This is the basis for the nationalism that fuels Obama/Powell liberal fascism. That belief system is no different that Adolf Hitlers who thought the same about the Master Race of Aryans.
The Colon is the biggest racist in his party and his party isn’t the GOP.
I guess he is referring to Louie Farrakhan and Al Sharpton?
Yet, we all know WHY he favors O’Bumbler. Because he shares common DNA of race and they are both avid Pro-Abortionists.
Just what we need: A “staff”, affirmative action, political general who was more worried about how it “would look” to kill a couple hundred-thousand Sunni ragheads on the road back from Kuwait than he was about having to fight the war all over again post 09-11-2001. This Washington insider-loser is such a POS that even John McCain said the other day that he wished that Powell would quit calling himself a Republican.
Am I angry? You bet. I’m sick and tired of racists like Obama, Jackson, Farrakhan, Powell et al calling me a racist.
Bowell or Obama are both no blacker than they are white..
Saying they are black...... IS A LIE...
They both are living a lie.. and some buy the lie..
I had a college frat mate who used to work for the PAC-10 committee after graduation and he once overheard years ago during the lull before the Heisman trophy presentation in NYC that the black players/winners in that awards show were only voting for other black Heisman candidates.
Oh Jeeze, there might have even been a couple dozen people who actually seen it.
And you are full of Scheisse.
If I remember correctly Powell more or less said he was supporting obama in 2008 because he was black.
I never liked Powell. And I never liked Condi Rice. Those two appointments showed Bush’s true left leanings. Though he call it “compassionate conservative”.
93% of blacks voting for Obama, Soviet-style isn’t racist.
But 60% of whites voting for Romney is considered politically incorrect!
He’s a gay blade...
If by “my party” he means the Democrats, then yeah, sure.
