“Republicans are more enthusiastic than Democrats about voting this year in general, and that enthusiasm has actually...grown since early August.”

Voter intensity for Republicans is much higher than for Democrats and this is being seen in absentee voter request numbers and early vote returns.Just the absentee requests In Ohio being tracked here by LS and LdSentinal at FR gives definite hope.

Even new voter registration in Florida is sharply DOWN among Democrats and sharply up among Republicans. Look at these numbers, according to a Chicago Tribune article.

2004/2008/2012
Reps 111586/95525/128039
Dems 158957/259894/11365 (11,365 is not a typo)

Even in CHICAGO, Obama’s hometown, there are 225,000 less people on the voting rolls than 2008 with only 4 more weeks to register. This is again according to a Chicago Tribune article. You know most of these voters will be Dems.

If voter intensity is on the Republicans’ side, than how can ANY of these MSM polls predicting a Dems turnout exceeding that of the “perfect storm” 2008 election be valid??
