Actress Jessica Alba asks voters to pledge allegiance to Obama

The Obama campaign has launched its “For All” campaign, encouraging supporters to take pictures of themselves with their hands on their hearts and a note explaining why they support President Obama.

Actress Jessica Alba uses the Pledge of Allegiance as an example of the campaign in an email to supporters.

“Growing up, my classmates and I started every day with a ritual: We’d stand up, put our right hand over our hearts, and say the Pledge of Allegiance,” explains Alba. “To me, that gesture was a promise. A promise to be involved and engaged in this country’s future. A promise to work for liberty and justice — and for affordable education, health care, and equality — for all.”

“Equal Pay” - I wonder if Jessica makes as much as that struggling actress who is doing waitressing on the side? Shouldn’t these rich actresses spread their wealth around to make it more fair? For that matter, why do they make us pay for going to their movies? Shouldn’t they just make them and distribute them for free?

Jessica Alba gives a remarkable performance in one of her best roles yet. Playing a concerned, informed voter she pledges her support for our inept leader. Jessica stated it was an easy role to play I just kept in my mind the tremendous tax breaks the current administration affords us mega rich actors, they way we can get tax breaks, structure hit movies that somehow never make a profit and arrange my pay like an investment so I don’t have to pay for the programs I support.

Re: “equal pay” written on her hand: I like the idea of getting equal pay with Jessica Alba. Either mine goes way up or hers comes way down, either way is okay with me.

so pretty, yet so dumb...

Your post reminds me of a time I was sitting in a cafe in Seville and struck up a conversation with a Belgian at the next table. turns out he was a musician of some repute in Belgium and I mentioned the only Belgian celebrity I was familiar with was a model of the time, a girl named Veronique DeKock. What a knockout. He nodded and said he knew her well. "Very beautiful. And very stupid."

I was crushed, my dreams of staying up all night playing chess with her were dashed.

They can't make a move without someone watching them and taking pictures.

They can't speak in public unless they are reading someone else's script, which is agitprop 99.9% of the time.

They have to preach the Communist gospel or they'll get canned.

They can't dress the way they want or look the way they really do - they are instructed by a gaggle of gays on how to dress, comb their hair, put on their makeup.

If they aren't perfect (and who is), they often undergo questionable (some would say experimental) surgical procedures. Of course, they are required to do this by their "agents" or they will be "terminated." There is no option to say no.

They're all on the verge of starvation.

They're forced into manual labor at "gyms" for four hours every day.

When they are no longer young and beautiful (say at 30), they are turned loose in the wild and abandoned. The smart ones have either married up or saved some money. The others turn into Bridgitte Bardot screeching about animal rights or end up like Whitney Houston.

Sounds to me like they're living pretty close to the fascist state already. And it is a life they each CHOSE. Now they need to just give up the rest of their income to the Party.

There go my Fantastic Four DVDs, Thor, and I will not buy the Avengers either. Joss Whedon saw to that long before SJ did this.
