A car carrying the U.S. ambassador to China was mildly damaged after becoming the target of boisterous anti-Japan demonstrators who were expressing outrage over a territorial dispute and marking the 81st anniversary of Japan's invasion of China.

The State Department said in a statement Wednesday that Ambassador Gary Locke was unhurt in Tuesday's incident, and that diplomats have expressed concerns to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The statement said around 50 protesters surrounded Locke's car as he tried to enter the embassy and were eventually removed by Chinese security personnel.

The incident comes amid heightened vigilance for American diplomats following violent attacks on U.S. embassies in Libya, Yemen and Egypt. The statement said embassy officials have asked the Chinese government to do everything possible to protect American facilities and personnel.

Not much on history are they? They forgot who was on their side during the war?

White House releases statement about the incident..

"We are going to have to have more understanding about the peoples of the world. We are going to have to take care. I have offered my apologies on behalf of the people of the United States." President Barack H. Obama.

Asked to explain the statement a spokesman blamed the attack on a TV station in a small town in Iowa.. they aired a Charlie Chan movie.

if “push comes to shove” over these piss ant little islands
then the Chinese will shove hard and Obozo will run away and hide behind Hillary’s skirt.

He will let Japan twist in the wind. That mutual defense
treaty isn’t worth the paper its written on.

Those islands are soon to be Chinese fishing camps.

But there’s oil. Actually I think the Chinese are just really upset about Japan invading them 81 years ago, as they are making a big deal about the invasion anniversary. But Japan has already apologized profusely for that. Can’t China let bygones be bygones?

oh gee, the Chinese govt has lost control over internal security in their own country so maybe they need a stern letter from Hillary

sarc

Seriously, if these “protesters” displeased the Chinese govt, their kidneys would already be functioning in the bodies of some rich communist party-connected recipient
