Darkest atrocities of Nazis laid bare in secret recordings
Daily Mail ^ | 17th September 2012 | Alan Hall

'Some of the most brutal and horrifying atrocities of the Nazis at war are laid bare in secretly recorded conversations of captured German soldiers published in Britain for the first time today.

The prisoners, mostly ordinary soldiers, sailors and airmen as opposed to SS hardliners, are overheard bragging about shooting women and children for sport as well as raping and slaughtering innocent civilians.

But unbeknown to them, British and U.S. intelligence were secretly eavesdropping on their private chats.

Transcripts made from the astonishingly candid recordings sat gathering dust on the shelves of the National Archives in Kew, all but forgotten until they were picked up by historian Sönke Neitzel in 2001.

His subsequent book 'Soldiers; diaries of fighting, killing and dying', caused a sensation when it was published in Germany last year. And next week it will be published in English for the first time.'

Kind of blows the theory that the Wehrmacht were honorable men, compared to the SS. They participated in their share of atrocities.

My grandfather toured Buchenwald immediately after it was liberated. He only spoke to me about it one time.

He said that after touring it, there was absolutely no doubt in his mind why he was overseas, or who the good guys were.

He also told me that any German who said that "they just didn't know what was there" was lying because you could smell the place from 20 miles away.

‘Never a Nazi to be found in 1945’, was an old saying.

Finally, someone tells the truth. THEY ALL KNEW, every damn one of them. To late to do anything about it, but THEY KNEW.

Question is for us. What will we do about it in America before it is to late? It is coming.

When Hitler assumed power in Germany, the Germans were considered a Christian nation. They turned from God and allowed Hitler to become their god. This is what radicalism can do.

Now, what would you expect from the Muslims in a similar war. They are already savage beasts and are daily involved in killing one another. The Muslims would not hesitate to kill everyone that they consider an infidel. This is what they have been taught to do.

Until our leaders recognize this fact, the Muslims will continue to win the small battles until they have put enough victories together to win the war in which they are engaged against Western civilization.

They have already won many small victories. Look at what gyrations we must go through to fly on airplanes. Look at how many freedoms we have already had to sacrifice to think that we are safe. This is only the beginning. Citizens need to arm themselves. Remember, the Jews had no arms; the Poles had no arms. May God bless America even though daily we are kicking Him out of our lives.

I understand the dynamic. You already can't find a Republican who voted for Romney in the primaries.

No surprises here. Such behaviour in wartime is not unique to Nazi Germany. Europe's waring nations have swept the continent at one time or another in vast hordes, committing equally shocking atrocities. With the exception of Sherman's infamous march to the sea in 1864, America has so far been spared the atrocities of modern warfare. America, however, is not immune.

You wrote, “I understand the dynamic. You already can’t find a Republican who voted for Romney in the primaries.”

You will on November 6, 2012. The amateur Obama has proven that his only objective was to turn our nation into a socialist failure. He charmed enough intelligent makers to go along with his hoards of takers to win in 2008. It isn’t going to happen again. The man is devoid of any iota of executive leadership, and he is so fearful of the Oval Office that he refuses to remain there long enough to even get any photo-ops of any consequence. Many of the pictures available from that hallowed space show him with his feet on our furniture.

He fears that if he spends any time there, he might have to make a decision that he can’t layoff on someone else. Thus he is the eternal campaigner, the eternal fund raiser, the eternal vacationer and the eternal golfer none of which can be accomplished from the Oval Office—legally that is. Oh yeah, he and Michele are noted for throwing great parties at the White House. We have enjoyed all that we can stand of him.

The German Army sold its soul back at the start of WWI when it blew through Belgium and shot many innocent civilians. WWII was act two on a much bigger scale. The German General Staff adopted terror as a military strategy and tossed out the traditional rules of warfare.

The western Allies played by the old rules in WWI, but when confronted by Hitler’s total war in WWII, had to respond in kind, but not to the extent of horror done by Germany and the Soviet Union. Our carpet bombing of cities was pretty nasty.

There's a documentary that has clips of an "I Know Nothing" town pressed ganged into "cleaning up" the neighboring camp.

That is, the citizens were the ones picking up the rotting corpses, hauling them to mass graves, and tossing the bodies in to the pits.

Might be in the "World At War" series.

In the Muslim world, such a display of shoes is a sign of disrespect
