NYS Primary Day! Call to Action!
NY Times ^ | 9/11/2012 | THOMAS KAPLAN

'TROY, N.Y. — Before State Senator Roy J. McDonald, a Republican, voted last year to legalize same-sex marriage, he told reporters that anyone unhappy with his position could “take the job and shove it.”

Now comes the test.'

'Mr. McDonald’s challenger, Kathleen A. Marchione, the Saratoga County clerk, is running an insurgent campaign, dialing voters from a windowless office next to a Subway sandwich shop. She accuses Mr. McDonald of having deceived the voters who elected him by changing his position on same-sex marriage, which he voted to oppose in the past.

“People feel betrayed,” Ms. Marchione said. “I’ve heard that a lot — that they feel betrayed by our senator, that you said one thing, you do something else.” '

Sell-out Steve Saland, who was/is my Senator prior to redistricting (41st District)

Saland is a joke: Many years ago when he was a state assemblyman (where the GOP is a minority), he was a supporter, if not co-sponsor, of legislation for term limits. He was then elected to the state senate (the GOP is the majority), where he has been a do-nothing brown nosing RINO since 1990. In other words, he supported term limit legislation when he knew the proposal would never pass, but has been stone silent on the issue since moving to the state senate where he is in the majority and could actually do something to enact term limits.

He also crushes his balls on the proverbial fence on abortion: He's personally against it, but can't legally stop it, and that apparently gives him a license to hand out taxpayer dollars to PP.

He's also corrupt in that his law firm just so happens to provide legal services in one form or another to many of the GOP controlled municipalities in his district. I'm not saying that he is personally taking a bribe, rather, with a wink and a nod, the governing bodies of these municipalities know that if they want state funds for pet projects, they need to hire Saland's law firm to provide legal services to the municipality, planning board, and/or planning board etc. The laughable part is that he is constantly telling us about the need for ethics reform in the state capital, when a truly ethical person doesn't need laws to tell him or her that it is wrong to use a public position for private gain.

What a jerk.

“Sometimes, less than 1% of the people vote in primaries

Your vote is worth 100 votes

You can get rid of a RINO and select a TEA party candidate DURING THE PRIMARIES”

I can certainly believe my vote is worth 100 votes, or more! When I vote there are no other voters, and the poll worker laughed when I told her how powerful I felt!

Here’s a NY Tea Party that supports Kathy Marchione, and check out who else they support:

You got it dude! Roy McDufus McRINO must go! I voted at 4:00 and they said the turnout had been steady all day. Only one race on the ballet and you can be sure my wife and I voted for Kathy.

It is imperative that every traditional marriage supporter in the NY 41st Senate distict get to the polls before 9:00. If you are registered Republican or Conservative you can vote in this primary election. Please help send Roy packing and send Kathy Marchione to Albany.

Did a Sign Wave with A2Z in HalfMoon this afternoon, lots of positivity.

“Thats our site, we are TEA New York.”

You guys have a great group which represents VERY important conservative values. I’ll pass along the link to the website again.

btw, I heard that the election results tonight might take longer because of absentee ballots, and the way WGY radio said it, it sounded like they meant the Marchione/McDonald race only. I hope this isn’t a “here we go again” night.

It appears Grisanti and Maziarz pulled it out... But one shining light, a friend Dave DiPoetro won Assembly seat.

I have to look for the rest to see.
I hope it isn’t a long night.

Rigth now we have reform conservative Marchione leading RINO liberal enabler McDonald 6486-6400. Columbia and Rensselaer have all reported and we won both, but trail in Saratoga with a few still to report. Nothing in from Washington yet, but there are only a few polls there. Probably 95% reported district wide.

So it is up to the absentee ballets, correct? If these split about even then Kathy would win. I am a little concerned about liberal downstate residents who register upstate because their votes count a lot more. Although I am not sure how many of these would be registered as Republican or Conservatives.

Do you have an idea about the absentee ballots might run?

With 99 percent of the vote in, Marchione was ahead with 51 percent of the votes, 6,817 to 6,679, according to The Associated Press.

Part of my email from NOM (Nation for Marriage)

“Marriage was redefined in New York because of six turncoat

> marriage, and we’re going to finish the job with the remaining

“But one shining light, a friend Dave DiPoetro won Assembly seat.”

Congrats! In NYS, every conservative win is sweet.

Let’s hope we win with Kathy Marchione, too. Now they say the absentee ballots will be counted by 9/20, but I’m not holding my breath.

Also, the Dem candidate, Robin Andrews, is “married” to someone of the same-sex. Please check out next two excerpts:

“COLUMBIA COUNTY –Yesterday, Claverack Town Supervisor Robin Andrews filed petitions containing over 2,100 signatures to become the official Democratic Candidate for the 43rd State Senate District.”

excerpt http://robinandrews.org/news/

“Personal
Robin grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts. Her parents were both involved in social work and counseling, so she has long known the value of listening. She has lived in Philmont, within the town of Claverack, in the heart of Columbia County since 1998, with Chris Lastovicka and their cats. In 2011, on their 15th year anniversary, Chris and Robin married after the passage of the Marriage Equality Act. Chris is a composer and web designer. When she can, Robin also loves to sing.”

excerpt http://robinandrews.org/about-robin/

So if the same-sex agenda types want to help McDonald, why is a lesbian running against him as the Dem candidate? Who are the same-sex “marriage” people going to send their campaign money to now?

Will they throw Roy McDonald under the bus?

Of course, we hope Marchione wins the GOP, but Roy McDonald will still be running under the Independence Party.

Weekly Standard has a brief comment on the results:

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/ny-gop-state-senators-could-lose-seats-over-gay-marriage-vote_652363.html

Here’s an interesting comment from a Reuters article
http://in.reuters.com/article/2012/09/14/usa-campaign-newyork-idINL1E8KE4UO20120914

“If all three candidates win it shows that it’s safe for candidates and increasingly safe for Republicans to vote for the freedom to marry,” said Marc Solomon, national campaign director for Freedom to Marry, an advocacy group for the right of same-sex couples to wed.
If the senators lose, Solomon said, “It won’t help.”

That explains why Kathy and Neil’s primaries were so important, it was the front line in the fight for Traditional Marriage.

Thanks to all who helped out. It’s going to come down to the wire in both races.

“Will they throw Roy McDonald under the bus?”

They’re running a GBLT agaisnt him? That’s rich! Of course they’ll throw McDonald under the bus! McDonald is unreliable, the essence of what people despise most about politicians. He is a traitor to us, why would the GBLTs trust him any more than we do? Why would anyone trust him - on anything?

“They’re running a GBLT agaisnt him? That’s rich! ..”

You can’t make this stuff up.

When I heard a reporter mention it on one of the Capital District tv stations, I couldn’t believe my ears, so I looked it up myself, and sure enough.........

Now who will the homosexuals give their money to? One of their own, or Roy McDonald. This is poetic justice.

Also, we need to continue to help Kathy Marchione, because whatever happens, she will still be on the NY Conservative Party line, but of course, it will be better if she wins the GOP nomination as well.
