Adroitly sidestepping the third-eye-blinding double meaning, her ripping Slick shows that at least she has some residual integrity. Of course, that was before she publicly melted down on her family in the sacred Grey Whore pages -- for being so banal and Thanksgivingy and American and bourgeoise and bringing her down at the holidays. What she needed was a juicy political suicide, preferably a Pubbie, to pick her up a bit, and it didn't happen.
There's an active thread in here somewhere .... I was on it yesterday. Makes a fascinating read and although I thought I knew a lot, I picked up a couple more tidbits .... you'll need a chalk tablet or two, though.
