More than 70,000 people have signed a online petition calling on CNN to fire contributor Erick Erickson for an offensive tweet.

“First night of the Vagina Monologues in Charlotte going as expected,” Erickson, who is also the editor of RedState.com, tweeted on Tuesday, referring to the opening day of the Democratic National Convention.

Those who are allegedly offended aren’t paying attention. Many of the Dems’ finest were proudly parading around in vagina costumes in Charlotte (and DC) last week. Erickson’s description was spot on.

And besides, The Vagina Monologues is the pinnacle artistic achievement of their culture. If anyone other than a conservative had said this, they would have been tickled - um - pink.

No, I thought it was worth a smile. Not much above HS locker-room humor but still better than what some so-called comedians come up with.
