That's an accounting principle.

How do you ban that?

Might as well ban gravity.

Democrats: Let's Ban Profits!

Didn't they effectively achieve that by electing obama?

Do these fools realize that no profits = no taxes?

"Production for Use, not Profit!"

That and "Share the Wealth" were the slogans of Upton Sinclair's 1934 run for governor of California on the Socialist ticket. The elderly will remember this. The Democrats and Republicans had to combine their efforts to defeat him.

Used to work for 2 brothers years ago who owned a small business, Marve 25 employees and they would would draw each month an expense check for about $5000, run ALL household repairs through the business with billing supplied by contractors well known to them showing work done on business. They each had a car paid for by the company, gasoline credit cards, etc. and at the end of the year after all the bills were paid they would each take 50% of what was left as a bonus, usually something over one million dollars each.

The company never showed a profit on paper and the brothers claimed the money they took as income and paid a lower rate than what the corporate rate was at the time.

If the profits of the New York Yankees was banned, what kind of team would they field?

If the profits of Paramount Pictures was banned, what kind of movies would they make?

Oh? You don't mean those companies? Only ban oil companies profits, or Wall Street companies, or drug companies?

The b***ards don’t just want to take us back to the Dark Ages, they want to take us back to the stone age... which, even then, I’ll bet bartering and profit taking went on.

These b***ards simply want to exterminate the human race. That’s how much they hate themselves and everyone else.

"Sooner or later they will have to be rounded up."

They are saying the same thing about us....

They don't need to be "rounded up". They need to be rendered meaningless and powerless.

Looking across the DNC hall, it occurred to me that the reason they all adore government so much is that because without it, nary a one of them could pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel.

Likewise, they detest "profits" because making a profit requires work, the production of something that someone actually wants, and a voluntary exchange of value. Those who can, do. Those who can't become Democrats.

Indeed, Karl Marx's dream has come to pass.BTW I just paid my inflated property taxes, so I'm royally PO'd with all this at the moment.

There are days I honestly civil war is inevitable in this country. I don't believe Marxism and freedom can coexist indefinitely.

Put another way, eventually those who are always pulling the wagon come to resent those who are always riding in the wagon.

Redistribution, reparations, social justice—call it whatever you like but what it boils down to is you and I always pay while others always take.

This is why I can’t understand how most here are anti-abortion. Do you really want commies to breed more commies?

Corporations (even small ones) are completely evil. We should not work for them. We should all get government jobs.
