AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said Thursday night it will strip Lance Armstrong of his unprecedented seven Tour de France titles after he declared he was finished fighting the drug charges that threaten his legacy as one of the greatest cyclists of all time.

Travis Tygart, USADA's chief executive, said Armstrong would also be hit with a lifetime ban on Friday.

Here’s a question for you: Floyd Landis, one of Lance’s detractors, was stripped of his 2007 TDF win after it WAS discovered he was doping. Why didn’t he use the same method of doping that he accused Armstrong of if it was so successful for Lance? (and which by the way has never been proven)

Switching gears, should start paying attention to the Rangers-Twins game.....a potential no-hitter and a hit for the cycle in the same game.....Harrison has a no-no through six, and Beltre is a single away from hitting for the cycle.

“Wait... Did Armstrong vote Republican or something?”

Over in the Leftist fever swamps, some moonbats are gloating since Lance Armstrong bicycled with GWB, that made him a right winger.

Lance Armstrong had “dated” the far-left homewrecker Sheryl Crow. Hard to envision Armstrong as a conservative.

It is definitely a witch hunt.
Their witnesses are admitted dopers who are saving their professional future by going after Lance. They had to falsely accuse a big fish or else their careers would be over.

Yet just riding with Bush set off the Lefties against Bush. How dare he! It has a lot with the Left’s psychotic violent hatred of Bush. Believe me, I have seen a lot of it while living in Minnesota.

Sheryl Crow left Armstrong because of that ride.

You don't say. Well how many years on Planet Earth will you 'fess up to? You think incorporating the name of America's greatest President into your screen name that you signed up for last month means anything? You just keep on prancin' in front of your mirror in your Underoos and pumping up that sunken chest of yours. You're a drive-by poster without one original thought in your neuron-challenged cranium.

Punk

Pleased to meet ya Punk. Come back when ya grow a set.

If you go to all of the trouble to hide it, mask it, deny it, and fight it for years why would he have (supposedly) doped right in front of teammates, knowing he could lose everything?

Armstrong dumped Crow, not the other way around.

Some nasty theories say it was because she got cancer.

Lance himself said it was because she wanted babies. The horrible wench.

Well to start, 10 witnesses ready to testify in court, and probably all painting a similar picture.

Did you notice Armstrong never sued Floyd Landis for his accusations? That's what an innocent man would have done. But even then Armstrong was too tired of the situation to do it.

Yeah, that's what coached and scripted liars for the prosecution usually do.

Did you notice Armstrong never sued Floyd Landis for his accusations? That's what an innocent man would have done.

Oh, you're the expert on what innocent men would do?

Fact 1: Armstrong passed any and every test he was requested to take.

Fact 2: No evidence due to Fact 1.

Fact 3: The USADA violated it's own procedures and guidelines in order to continue this witch hunt.

Send your resume to Travis Tygart, sounds like you're what he's looking for in the way of staff support.

Hard to envision Armstrong as a conservative.

That’s because he’s not. He’s a big time lefty for gun control and obummer. I personally believe that he is guilty, just because his actions don’t corroborate that of an innocent man. They guy is just another arrogant fraud.

At this point I wouldn’t even care if he were a Conservative, if he indeed is guilty it is right to strip him of those titles.

IMO, Lance Armsrtong is a hero.

Survives cancer—which many of us don’t.
Continues to compete at the very highest levels.

Passes over 500 drug tests in over 12 years.

Gets accused of misbehavior by others who didn’t pass tests for doping.

Ruling body decides to strip him of his acheivments because of stories from others who didn’t pass tests???

Something is very wrong here.

I sincerely hope that France says he can keep his awards.

Meanwhile, getting punished & put thru the lawyer agitator because of some kind of vendetta from others incapable of pllishing your bike is a travesty.

I understand that he uis pulling the plug on spending more money on lawyers. I hope he can continue to enjoy life.

He doesn’t deserve this, IMO.

From your name, I am guessing you are an avid biker. Me too. So far I have over 1000 miles commuting this year. Hope to hit 2000 by years end.

Lance is not a hero to me, but I do tip my helmet to him for his work ethic, his desire, and his fortitude. He has worked hard for what he has, to the detriment of his family.

I understand why he is stopping all this. He knows what he has accomplished, and how he did it. If, and that is IF, he has cheated, he has cheated himself first. He’ll have to live with it. I really don’t think anybody else is losing sleep over this whole thing.
