THIS WEEK (ABC): Stephanie Cutter, deputy campaign manager for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign; Kevin Madden, adviser to Mitt Romney's presidential campaign; Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa; Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md.; Norquist.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Cutter; Eric Fehrnstrom, adviser to Romney's campaign; former Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa.
Fox Sunday - plays Biden’s footh in mouth speech about putting y’all back in chains. Gibbs tries to compare what Biden said to what Boehner said about “unshackling” Wall street...or somfin. Wallace takes exception to that comparison.....continues hammering him on Biden’s comments. Gibbs is proud of Biden. (lol - he may be the only one)
Wallace plays Romney “ shove it and go back to Chicago” comments to obama (I’m paraphrasing). Gibbs response - obama is running a campaign on the issues. gibbs says he’s not going to be lectured by the likes of Romney - Romney who jets all over America (doing something), sits down with Donald Trump - that nutjob birther who still doesn’t believe obama’s birth record...yada, yada, yada.....(LOL, that’s going to bring a response by Trump....I guarentee it!)
At least I get to give Herman Cain one of my rods Tuesday night in Key West.Should be a fun evening.
I listened to Gibbs on FNS and have just heard a few minutes of David Gregory on MTP. They are using the same exact wording to defend Obama.
Md’s Gov O’Malley is another parrot.
However, on a local channel, at this same time is a show by former Gov Ehrlich and his wife. Their guest this week is former Lt Gov and then RNC chairman Michael Steele.
Steele is saying Great things about Paul Ryan, and how he is going to win this election! Steele worked closely with Ryan for the 2010 election, when their objective was to pry the gavel out of Pelosi’s hands, and they succeeded.
Well young feller,
There’s yer dam hunnert.
I can't speak to the present but several years ago when I signed up there was a card you could fill out and send back saying you didn't want Medicare B.
If you're like most people, you've paid into Medicare all your working life. Why would you kiss that money goodbye?
I suppose you could turn Medicare down completely by not signing up. Take a look at this.
FWIW, I have a regular Medicare supplement, a "J" plan, plans vary from state to state, and have yet to be billed a penny for procedures. And I've had some expensive ones done.
Shhhhh.... O’biden is our secret weapon....
Gibbs called Donald Trump a right-wing nutjob this morning on Fox News Sunday.
Then I must be a white supremacist in their minds.
Have not seen this yet. The moderator on This Week asked the Romney campaign if they would disavow the Swift Boat type ad that’s running now?
This irritates the heck out of me. The Romney guy dodged the correct answer. Yes, it IS a Swift Boat type ad. The Swift Boat ads were all true.
Define “medical professional” and what business do they have deciding what a doctor can and can’t do for his patient? We do not want to be Soviet citizens comrade Gibbs.
or a dishwasher at a gay and lesbian coffeehouse....
The sooner this happens, the better for this Obamanomic disaster for the company, its workers and the few investors it has left.
That map is biased just like the NYT and WaPo polls are since it is the daily average of all the polls. He and Joe Trippy put it together. The Ras map would look a lot different. Still looks great that Oregon sits nearly 10 pts better than Cal and Wa, maybe we are turning this state?
Pray for Oregon
Something obnoxious came on FOX, so I flipped to a random channel...muted. Suddenly I looked up and saw a map with all the states in red....ALL RIGHT!
Unfortunately, it was the Weather Channel.
Honestly, which is a better use of your Sunday morning? Watching the Sunday Talk Shows or going to church?
Many doctors down here now advertise that if you come to them they have no malpractice insurance and operate/hide under an LLC. So basically don't even think about suing them because you wont get squat.Hard to imagine its come to that.
***Biden meant it exactly as it sounds, pandering to blacks and trying to sound black as a means of showing them hes one of them and on their side.***
Except he used the word “y’all”!
Putting himself on the porch of the plantation talking “compassionately” to his workers.
One simple word “we” would have showed his opinion of the scary Ryan budget. But he didn’t see himself as affected by it. Biden is a true, lifetime racist.
The LIVESTRONG Bracelet is a yellow silicone gel bracelet launched in May 2004 as a fund-raising item for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, founded by cyclist and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong. The bracelet itself was developed by Nike and their ad agency Wieden+Kennedy.
Now Wallace questions Ed Gillespie on Ryan’s Medicare proposals. Brings up the $6,400 added cost to Seniors’ cost to participate in Medicare. Gillespie rejects analyais. (my question - who should pay?)
Wallace plays Romney’s comments about tax rates he paid (13% or thereabouts). Wallace asks when should we expect this year’s tax returns? The deadline for the IRS is Oct. 15 - Wallace asks, isn’t this a crazy time to release these records?
Wallace plays obama’s speech claiming Ryan’s plan will allow Romney to pay only 1% of taxes and expect you, the public, to pick up the tab. Gillespie points out the plan allows people making less than $200K to not pay taxes on capital gains. (good gravy - I’m pretty sure Romney makes more than 200K, especially next year when he’ll pull in a presidnet’s salary as a minimum.)
Wallace asks Gillespie whether the Romney campaign should make an issue of Biden....Gillepie responds Biden makes himself an issue..lol.
I have to agree. Chris Wallace really surprised me this morning...
This is the reason communism and nationalization doesnt work in building cars or any other enterprise including Healthcare, Medicare and Social Insecurity. The gummit has no profit motive which is the simplest way to motivate people and maintain costs. When you take that out of the equation you have to replace it with bribes and graft which leads to corruption and waste making inferior products and subsidies which is what we are seeing today. For the short sighted Pol they have a Works Project they can point to that is creating jobs even though it is creating more waste and abuse. This is why it doesnt work for Chevy and why it doesnt work for Medicare, you have to have people motivated by self-governing profit to make the company efficient and healthy.
In the private sector, a “job” might be functionally described as a creation meant to further the profitability of the product or service in play.
For the Demovik, a “job” is a purely political event in the pursuit of more power and more privilege for the elite ruling class.
Why would I kiss that money goodbye? Because I love my Country and that is the only way to save it. The end of Medicare and Social Insecurity are the only way out of this mess.
Who said we needed to retire for happiness?
Great stuff much of which probably many of us did not know. How long will 10,000 per day be retiring and what will the effect of all this be in just a few years?
Define medical professional
Unelected Berkley/Harvard professors wearing loaned white coats?! University of Wisconsin medical students writing notes to striking teachers/union members?!
Social Security/Medicare and “financial viability” are an oxymoron.
....and they’ve been that way ever since they were “passed into law”.
If I were to put Pension and Medical care plans reflecting those two programs on paper for my company, I’d be disowned by my entire family, laughed out of town, thrown in jail for Falling-Down-Dumba$$ Fraud or All of The Above.
Next time you come across a politician touting the wonders of those CF’s, ask the fine fellow just why he’s not in them.
I didn’t take this personally. I agree with you.
One thing that brings me hope is the successes we’re having with Tea Party candidates. As more true conservatives are elected we’ll be changing the direction of congress one vote at a time.
We have 47 million on Medicare and 54 million on SS now. Those numbers will increase dramatically over the next 20 years. There is no way these programs are going to end. There is absolutely no political will to do so. They must be reformed not ended. That is just a political reality.
Exactly,I traveled all over the state, last week,2,000 miles. I finally found one obama supporter in deep South Fla. Can’t find anyone else! They are all RIH!!
Medicare starts at 65, not 55, unless you qualify for disability.
If you get SS, you automatically get Medicare at age 65, unless you have qualifying private insurance.
Same with Part D (prescription drugs). You can opt out, but you will be assessed a penalty for each year you are not covered by an qualifying (private or Medicare) prescription drug plan. If you ever do opt in, you will still be annually assessed the penalty for the non-covered years.
Keep in mind that YOU have been paying in to both SS and Medicare during your working years.
Would you pay into a private insurance for decades and then decline any benefits from it?
Depends on whether or not your church is worth going to.
Watching the encroaching enemy on TV trying to destroy us will probably prompt some genuine heartfelt prayers and personal motivation.
This as opposed to the milquetoast, watered down services delivered in many liberal agenda "churches"
God is everywhere.
okay, I’m going to go through this one more time.
BTW, I could not agree with you more. You want to shore up any wobble on the part of senior voters, go over that 15 bureaucrats-unelected-over and over. That will scare the bejeesus out of anyone.
Now let me map out this alleged shortfall of Medicare Part D....only 25% is paid for by the users?
I take: Crestor, Tricor, Metropolol, Lovarstan. It doesn’t matter why...I had a heart bypass four years ago and these are meds I must take. I don’t want anyone else to pay for my drugs and I pay plenty.
I pay...$35 a month for the right to belong to Part D. I pay $250 a year deductible...which changed almost double this year which nobody told us about.
Then every quarter I pay about $300 for my drugs.
That’s almost $1500 a year out of my pocket for quite ordinary drugs, been around forever, all of them allegedly in the generic available stage.
I simply do not believe that this amount does not pay, using the law of economies of scale, with private businesses handling this thing (every year we can change and the businesses hype their offering...we have choices)...the cost of my medicines in a year.
When these meds were not in generic we had to pay a WHOLE bunch more, I get this...to pay for the tests and research costs to bring the drug to market. Not to mention the constantly suing lawyers which take first chance to file class lawsuits cause the drug made somebody burp.
We paid it. Levitraceum, a drug husband must take for seizures as he once had a brain infection, costs $1000 a month when we first signed up. We paid it.
I paid a fortune for Lipitor when it wasn’t protected.
So I did pay for the R&D costs and such so don’t give me this.
Cause if $1500 a year out of my pocket doesn’t “pay” for the cost of my four little pills I take daily then the big drug companies are robbing us, nothing less.
And you assert my $1500 only is 25% of the cost?
I don’t believe that for a second.
I think the regime was really thinking of dumping Biden for Hillary. That would of been a real game changer.
O is not connecting with the blue collar base of the Dems. The Clinton's are still intensely popular with blue collar Dems. Now that Palin is on record publicly urging the move, 0 is boxed in. If makes the move he looks weak and ineffective, if he doesn't make the move he is stuck with Biden’s dead weight on the ticket
Well played Ms. Palin!
Gov Perry cited some numbers that I can’t remember exactly but I believe it was in the tens of thousands of doctors who have moved to Texas. Texas health care is doing great.
People have to realize 0bamacare may give a person a card saying they have insurance but that does not mean they can find a doctor to honor that card.
Thank you, MestaMacine. I wondered if it was related to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Watching Wallce panel on FOX - Rove says obama’s plan raids medicare from seniors to pay health care costs for those who are not.
Evan Bayh - on the vote this fall, Bayh claims voters will ask who do I really trust on the Medicare issue - that goes to the democrats...lol. Asks are we ready for this debate now. All the back and forth is a wash. Krystal disagrees now that obamacare has passed.
Joe Trippi (not sure) - if you repeal obamacare you will have an insolvent Medicare by 2016.
10,000 each and every day for the next 20 years. We are an aging society and the baby boom cohort will be going through the entitlement programs like locusts. It was/is entirely predictable. Congress should have acted much sooner. The longer we wait, the more draconian the solutions.
This wasn’t my quote but I agree with both you and the quote.
And please do not forget, as I mention constantly....
.....YOUR EMPLOYER MATCHED YOUR CONTRIBUTION 100%!!!!!
That’s double what came out of your paycheck.
So says this lady who’s done payroll all her life.
RG, next week I will tell my miracle story and my brush with Hollywood. It is truly amazing the flood that has happened in the last couple months.
What is so amazing about the Leftists is they spend so much time tell themselves their own propaganda on Facebook or Twitter.
Good for them, better they spend their time preaching to themselves then doing anything actually effective.
Watching This Week, the panel is being asked the wrong questions over the wrong issues.
Now the panel is being asked if we’re headed for national bankruptcy?
Also the audience is stacked by leftists.
On Jake Tapper panel, in reply to WSJ Kim Strassel about
53% of small business income would be affected by Obama’s tax increase
Chris van Hollen said..
.” Romney’s horse would be classified as a small
business” and the audience laughed loudly.
No one gave a come back. But I would say. WHO DO YOU THINK TRANSPORTED ANN’S HORSE TO LONDON OLYMPICS? WHO TRAINED THE
HORSE? WHO HOUSES THE HORSE?
THAT SMALL BUSINESS supports a lot of jobs.
BUT THOSE PEOPLE CHRIS VAN HOLLEN JUST RIDICULE
IF YOU RAISE TAXES ON ANN’S HORSE, WHAT HAPPENS?
MAYBE THEY DON”T GO TO AS MANY SHOWS
MAYBE THEY DON”T BUY AS MUCH EQUIPMENT
THEY WON”T SPEND AS MUCH
WHO DOES IT HURT? NOT ROMNEY. IT HURTS THE ECONOMY
and the people who do the jobs
THEY DON”T GET IT
THEY WILLL NEVER GET IT
ECONOMICS -—— DEMOCRATS ARE NOT MENTALLY RIGHT IN THE HEAD
Morning Mesta, anything at all on the Russian sub in the Gulf of Mexico? Was it real? Did it happen? I heard this particualr sub had unclear capabilities.
Yeah, I wasn't bayhing it either.
Wowzers! I had no idea. Is there a tort reform movement there?
Its worse than that for employers! We pay double.I have been paying double since the early 70’s plus all the other taxes, its unending.
That's what some said about the Egyptian tweets over a year ago. Egypt has since fallen.
