A Pennsylvania judge on Wednesday refused to grant an injunction on a new voter identification law that Democrats say could harm President Obamas re-election chances by unfairly targeting minorities, college students and others in a key swing state.

i can hear the “Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh” noises already.
Make sure to hit the comments FReepers, the lib trolls are all over it already.
Simpson has my vote to replace Roberts on the Supreme Court.
unfairly targeting minorities, college students and others in a key swing state?...
ILLEGALS also?
The Rats will shop for an lefty appeals Judge, shouldn’t take more than an hour.
Can I ask a stupid question? Why don’t the liberals organize efforts to make sure their voters get the proper ID so that they can comply with the law??
Liberals complain that college students can’t use their student ID to vote in college towns, for example. But these same students have a driver’s license, and can vote in their actual home town via absentee ballot.
Liberals complain that some elderly people never got a government issued photo ID. Why not be generous with your time, and take the older folks to the DMV or other office, where they can get their government issued photo ID? That would be a generous thing for liberals to do, to help someone be eligible to vote.
The alleged barriers to voting are either not real or are greatly exaggerated by liberals.
Wow, first Florida cleanses its voter registry and now this in PA. That’s two important states that are going to lose thousands of votes for the Collective.
November might be more fun than we expect.
Stop taking the dead vote away!!

Unfairly targeting Mickey Mousse, dead people, etc.
Very interesting the media every day made it sound like all the evidence was against the law.
Blocking the dead from voting again?
Watch for JugEars to declare martial law over this.
They do for the voters still living.
Because post hole diggers and backhoes are strictly controlled in graveyards.
My dad is 90 and has photo ID.
Reading the comments it is clear to me that minority, poor and elderly voters must be too stupid to get an ID. Im sure they all collect food stamps yet somehow said minority, poor and elderly voters are not disenfranchised from that entitlement. Every time I hear this disenfranchisement argument I just want to kick a lib-tard in the teeth. Sorry, it just makes no sense to me how there people can actually believe their ridiculous arguments.
College Students????
Is there ONE college or university in the US that does NOT require a photo ID?
So, how can a voter ID disenfranchise them?
[Of course, WE know why the Dems are against voter ID.]
Thank You, God.
This is huge for the election.
God help us if this case gets to the Supreme Court where we now have three distinct factions: 4 conservatives, 4 liberals, and 1 moron.
If these people aren’t smart enough to get and ID, they shouldn’t vote anyway.
Actually, it does target minorities (such as those in certain Philadelphia precints who vote multiple times), college students (from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and the New England states which have reciprocity agreements with our commonwealth) and others (especially the deceased). So their argument is not exactly groundless. < / sarcasm >
Eric Holder is not going to be pleased by this Voter ID approval.
He said it is a disadvantage to MY Peoples....
This is how it’s done in a country that (now) takes the integrity of its election process seriously. Note the thumb print on the back:
(sorry about the long link, but it works - and it’s just Google)
I feel the reason the minorities are against this law is because if the have to show I. d. they may be picked up under outstanding warrents.
Showing i.d. to them is like catching poison ivy...
That’s a rhetorical question...right? The examples you give are about legal voting activities. The lib side of the argument has never been about protecting legal voting.
They already spent their time dragging them to state hearings and media events to publicize their plight.
Actually, the voter ID law was a booby prize for conservatives because our Quisling State GOP Chair blocked a far more important piece of legislation which would have awarded Pennsylvania's electoral votes by congressional district, the same system used in Maine and Nebraska.
That would have given us a far better election dynamic than the voter ID law because the cheating could not be concentrated in a handful of precincts. Or, more properly, said cheating would only have the potential to sway the two statewide electoral votes, not the 18 awarded by congressional district.
I still wonder how they are going to enforce it in certain Philadelphia precincts controlled by Eric Holder's New Black Panther Party thugs. Sample conversation:
"Show me your photo ID, please."
"See the uniformed guy out there with a nightstick, cracker? My ID is right on the end of his nightstick."
"OK. Here's your ballot."
Because dead people and illegal aliens are two of the Democrats' most reliable voting blocks. Plus making voters show identification makes it harder to vote multiple times using different names.
If they want to buy cold medication at a supermarket they have to show ID.Or beer.Or liquor.
What’s the problem?
Don’t answer, it’s rhetorical.
The Democrats want to protect voter fraud under the guise of “disenfranchising the people”. Would they be happy if only Romney voters show ID? The only people getting disenfranchised are the people who vote once honestly and then have their vote cancelled out by a repeat voter.
The flame switch is on!
No, there isn't.
Additionally, it's hard to figure out why the rats think they can get away with their lies. I mean, Democrats need photo ID to get their welfare, food stamps, and Section 8 housing don't they? If they don't, they should.
???
It's the New York Times... that's all they got, right?
Philadelphia will simply ignore the law.
There is no way to enforce the law when all the means of enforcement are in the hands of those who chose to disregard it. Philadelphia ceased to be America years and years ago. Philadelphia is not subject to American law.
Oh come on now. I’m sure Roberts can come up with some brilliant, creative way to strike down the law. George Will and Charles Krauthammer can then lecture us about it being the best advancement of conservatism by the court in decades.
Simple: because it is NOT about legitimate voters, it is about the ability to generate fraud - is there any other conclusion possible?
So, if Romney won Pennsylvania, Ubama would still get all the electoral votes from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and the rest of the state's concentrated Democrat parasite nests ("cities")?
That doesn't sound like a good deal..
It isn't about the alleged barriers. It is about erecting bogus strawman arguments against voter ID so that corrupt Dems can continue to send their henchmen into the field to vote multiple times using the names of dead or moved voters.
It's that simple.
:: Im sure they all collect food stamps yet somehow said minority, poor and elderly voters are not disenfranchised from that entitlement. ::
This should mobilize a Breitbart-type to apply for food stamps without ID or proof of income.
“a far better election dynamic than the voter ID law because the cheating could not be concentrated in a handful of precincts”
I favor ‘whole state’ awarding of the electoral votes for federalism reasons, but you have a good point here.
Because post hole diggers and backhoes are strictly controlled in graveyards.
Good one Red! But you owe me a new keyboard for that!
