Florida law forbids electioneering within 100 feet of a poll entrance. Signs are supposed to be posted demarcating the no-electioneering zone.

So when Susan Haynie, deputy mayor of Boca Raton, campaigned for votes outside the boundaries designated by a posted sign, she thought she was safe. Turns out someone had just stuck the sign there without measuring.

This being Palm Beach County, the finest-precision measuring devices money can buy were brought out to solve the problem.

To this day people still ask how something like the year 2000 election fiasco could happen. The onl;y answer is, "It's Palm Beach County, Florida."

It's sad and funny at the same time.

Big deal. Plus or minus 10 feet shouldn’t make any difference, as long as it’s applied equally to all candidates. It’s just so you can get in and out of the polls without being hassled.

Kinda redneck. It would even work as long as you weren’t scrupling over a few inches or so. Better a Craftsman measuring tape.

They should worry less about the distance of candidates and supporters and more about accurately counting the votes.

What I’ve heard of is sour grumps who think they control what’s posted on Free Republic. Michele Malkin, PJ Media, Brietbart, Red State etc. —All bloggers. I guess you’re happy with the main stream media as it is.

This is actually the correct link, here.

That way you don’t need to visit a blog that just re-posts Youtube videos.

Perhaps you've heard Jim Robinson? Owner of Free Republic.

I don't like any of 'em re-wording MSM crap and expecting hits for it.

A You Tube video that was taken by that blog. You left out that little fact which is obvious from the you tube link.
It’s amazing to me that some conservatives think screwing other conservatives is fun.

Carry on with that guessing.

Professing to prefer a crap sandwich over a crap casserole is hardly an upgrade.

You still get crap, it's just packaged differently.

Man, you’re acting pretty ignorant. BizPac brought down a close ally of Debbie Wassermann Schultz and a national DNC member 6 weeks ago. All original reporting. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

How do you know? Is it yours?

If it's yours then why did you excerpt it?

It looked OK to me, they could see that it was too close and verified it, it doesn’t look like they cared about 2 or 3 feet, but that 25 to 30’ was obviously way off.

It made the person that put up the sign, look stupid. Twenty five or thirty feet is an idiot’s mistake.
