Political use of the IRS is growing
WorldNetDaily ^ | August 10, 2012 | Tom Tancredo

How does it feel to find out that hundreds of millions of your tax money – and probably billions over a decade – are going to people who broke into the country, and the government is almost certainly doing it for partisan political reasons? Or to find out that one of the most powerful agencies of the federal government is being used to intimidate Obama’s political opponents?

I know. Nothing much seems to shock us anymore. Almost daily we are reminded that this administration is engaged in despicable, underhanded and illegal activity to hold onto the reins of power.

It won’t matter who is elected. We will STILL have the same ole same ole.

Nothing will change until we revolt against the entire tax system. PERIOD.

“When Romney/Ryan gets in the cleanout will be huge.”

I really can’t believe that. Maybe there will be some cosmetic changes to satisfy the Republican followers (that’s us if you didn’t know) but they’re not going to roll back the police state or the financial rape of this country. It won’t be allowed by the folks who really run things.

Really? So the man with a political career that mirrors Ted Kennedy is going to clean out the entrenched liberal bureaucrats?

Yea, right.

IRS Official to Judicial Watch: Clinton Enemies Were Audited

Carl Limbacher, NewsMax.com
Tuesday, April 23, 2002

Quite an Enemies List

As the Judicial Watch complaint notes, the Clinton IRS also went after organizations and even media companies it perceived as politically hostile, including:

The National Rifle Association, The Heritage Foundation, The National Review, The American Spectator, Freedom Alliance, National Center for Public Policy Research, American Policy Center, American Cause, Citizens Against Government Waste, Citizens for Honest Government, Progress and Freedom Foundation, Concerned Women for America and the San Diego Chapter of Christian Coalition.

Fox News Channel analyst Bill O’Reilly, a frequent critic of Bill and Hillary Clinton, has also pointed out how the IRS has repeatedly audited him. (snip)

We will never again be truly FREE people for so long as we continue to abide the class warfare inducing income tax and the IRS!

We had the before during the Nixon Imperial Presidency.

It’s getting time for Øbummer’s Watergate—it will happen.

He will overreach.

The IRS is the Gestapo of America. It is used to instill fear into the free people and as a tool of the political system in power.

Remember: With the IRS you are GUILTY until proven innocent.

In Federalist #21, Alexander Hamilton argued that a consumption tax would effectively limit the size of government:

It is a signal advantage of taxes on articles of consumption, that they contain in their own nature a security against excess. They prescribe their own limit; which cannot be exceeded without defeating the end proposed, that is, an extension of the revenue. When applied to this object, the saying is as just as it is witty, that, “in political arithmetic, two and two do not always make four.” If duties are too high, they lessen the consumption; the collection is eluded; and the product to the treasury is not so great as when they are confined within proper and moderate bounds. This forms a complete barrier against any material oppression of the citizens by taxes of this class, and is itself a natural limitation of the power of imposing them.

Absolutely! The founders were virtually unanimous on the point!
