As LifeNews has reported, Santorum, the pro-life former Republican presidential candidate, is organizing an event at the GOP convention later this month to rally pro-life, social conservative voters behind Romney.

Santorum is now the head of a conservative activist group he formed after leaving the Republican presidential race, Patriot Voices, and it will host a “Patriots for Romney” reception at the Republican National Convention.

“We at Patriot Voices look forward to joining with the country’s leading conservative voices to demonstrate our committed support for Mitt Romney. Already, we’ve assembled a tremendous number of co-hosts that are outspoken conservatives on fiscal, social and national security issues,” said Santorum.

The reception will take place Wednesday, August 29th at Liberty Plaza in Tampa.  Patriots for Romney co-hosts include:

Santorum was looking for a place to land after being kicked out of elective office, and he found it as a beard/shield for the moderate wing of the Romney GOP.

Was Rick Santorum a poor choice for president as a result of just a guy looking for work?

Well said.
With beard in tow, Santorum is still looking for work, preferably with the establishment side of the party where the jobs are and where his heart is, while continuing to flirt with his base of “religious” conservatives.

February 2009... Bill Bennett's “Morning in America” Radio show... michael steele and santorum are both co hosting... and both stated that, “The era of Reagan is over... the electorate has moved more in the direction of the left and we as a party must become more diverse and move in the direction of the electorate”. I would have voted for santorum because he is at least a solid pro life person... but his ideological core lies in his very own words.

Anyone who compares Romney to Reagan has real issues.
And this group of pro life leaders supporting Romney a pro abortion guy is just weird.

“Rick Santorum compares Mitt to Reagan :”

It’s time Santorum retired and faded into obscurity. If this stooge ever runs for elected office again, I will campaign for his opponent even if it’s a Democrat.

Since I live in a state that will definitely go for Obama, I am strongly considering on writing in Rick Santorum’s name. However, I wouldn’t do so, if I lived in a swing state, because Obama has to be voted out!
