U.S. Rep. Allen West accused fellow Congressman Alcee Hastings of “political elitism” over comments Hastings made to an online media site about an alleged Chick-Fil-A incident.
Hastings told the Huffington Post that West had offended the entire Congressional Black Caucus about six months ago, when he brought in chicken and biscuits from Chick-Fil-A when it was his turn to provide lunch at a weekly meeting.

“’It is the American taxpayers’ dollars being used,’ West said. ‘I don’t feel like it’s my responsibility to go out and get steak and lobster tails for the members of the Congressional Black Caucus.’”

I had a Chik-Fil-A spicy chicken deluxe for the first time last night. It was an incredible experience. How anyone could be offended by Chik-Fil-A is beyond me. Did West forget the sweet tea?
I personally would prefer fried chicken to steak and lobster.
Alcee Hastings is my current congressional thief.
Due to redistricting Colonel Allwn West will be my new Congressman. One that I can be proud of. Unlike Alcee Hastings who in a prior life was a federal judge who was impeached by the Senate for taking bribes in big time drug cases.
I live in a gerrymandered district made to insure a black in congress/ and these fools sure picked a real turd in the past.

Personally, I don’t know why the taxpayers are paying anything for any of them whatsoever. They’re useless. If they want to ‘caucus’, let them rent a friggin’ room somewhere.

One more reason to get rid of Alcee Hastings — not that we needed one. After his impeachment, he shouldn’t have been elected dog-catcher.

While CFA has a breakfast chicken biscuit- I think you’d be hard pressed to get a biscuit at lunch.

It’s an election year, of course Hastings is looking for attention. CFA is getting more attention than he’s probably had his whole entire career, well, maybe not including that impeachment thing...
