No matter what is happening, put your dogs up before calling 911.

She told Eyewitness News 5’s Carla Wade that when the deputy arrived, she asked him to wait a few minutes before going into her back bedroom so that she could put away her two dogs.
Harmon said the officer did not wait and when her 6-year-old dog Sophie came near the deputy, he pulled his weapon and shot and killed the dog. Sophie was a female blue heeler who had just recently had puppies.
Harmon said the bullet ricocheted off the ground and went through a wall in her kitchen. Her small children and elderly mother were in a room about 10 feet away.
A spokesperson for the Cleveland County Sheriffs Office said they are investigating.

I'm frankly surprised that the officer wasn't killed for doing this. Sooner or later, an officer is going to lose his life playing "Sadist" and killing people's pets. And I hope that I'm called for Jury Duty when that happens. There is such a thing as "Justifiable Homocide" - and cases like this illustrate this point.

She knew the cops were coming. They didn’t show up unexpectedly. Should have put the dog in the room immediately after hanging up on her 911 call.

Some idiot from SCE tried to hit my dog. He was ringing my doorbell and then started banging on my door. When I opened it my dog almost slipped out. He raised a metal bar to smack him. I am glad I was able to keep my dog behind me.
The SCE idiot was installing a
stupid smart meter.

“...Tara Harmon said she called 911 because of a domestic dispute with her boyfriend...”

Never call the cops for any reason.
Nothing good can ever come of it.

Pigs hate dogs, what else do you need to dog. I’m waiting for the day when a person shoots the pig that shoots the pet. Law enforcement has developed a messiah complex with an entitlement attitude and it will not end well

The article didn't say what the emergency was that she was calling about. If a woman is calling 911 she's probably frantic about something and putting up the dog might be the last thing on her mind.

Too often, women think the cops are their friends and are there to help. But, that’s what they have been taught and trained to do. We got to get our people off the dependence on cops to solve our problems.

Don’t ask 911 for help.

yeah, the government never brings help, it brings power, power that it wields with no accountability and no thought of your best interests.

WHether they've "been taught" or not, they see govt as a surrogate father/husband/boyfriend.

I guess He doesn't make you feel stupid; He just shoots your dog.
