Because of Adam Smith [Chick-Fil-A incident] many will no longer support liberal gay community
8-3-12 | Arcy

Posted on 08/03/2012 7:39:53 AM PDT by Arcy

The internet world awoke to a video of an exchange between Mr. Adam Smith, the now former CFO/Treasurer of Arizona based Vante, who has since been fired after embarrassing the company, and a young woman working the drive-thru window at his local Chick-Fil-A restaurant.

Smith, enraged by the first amendment freedoms Americans have to express opinions he disagrees with, chose to direct his frustrations with the Chick-Fil-A corporation by ambushing and berating a young lady trying to support her family by working at the drive-thru window of the restaurant.

Despite the professional and courteous service Smith received from the lady, he was unable to restrain himself from unleashing a vicious verbal assault on her. Much to her credit, she remained calm and collected - something Smith, the acting CFO of a company, could not do. Unmoved by the kindness of the young lady, Smith continued his relentless barrage, all of which was captured on his hand-held camera and later posted on the internet.

The liberal gay community continues to be its own worst public affairs advocate. Until the leaders of that movement learn to be tolerant of American values and the freedoms American's have under the constitution, it will continue to push away those who have tried to defend it.

For the record. I am absolutely NOT gay nor do I believe it is okay to be gay.

Just curious, has GLAAD come out in support of this a$$clown?

To think he was so proud of himself he video taped it and posted it on the internet.

I’m actually having lunch at Chick-Fil-A today with a like-minded friend to support them if any homosexual couples do this kiss-in.

Homosexuals, as this Adam character no doubt is, are mental. Their behaviors are usually erratic, juvenile, and immature.

He was merely exercising his First Amendment right to express an opinion Chick-Fil-A disagrees with, wasn't he?

Yes but the First Amendment doesn't say anything about consequences you may recieve by exercising that right. It merely states the Government can't prevent you from saying what you think. I have the right to walk up to my boss and tell him he sucks and he has the right to fire me.

You hit the nail squarely on the head. Gays are their own worst enemy!!! If the poor souls only had a clue how Obama and his facist elites are setting them up for the under the bus treatment after the election, if not worse things!!! These Gay Folks are not too bright, I must say!!! I say Gays, study history, especially Muslim/Nazi history. Maybe then, you will get a clue.

Having said that, I do believe the “CFA Kiss-In” scheduled for today wiil be tepid at best. Many Gays will sit on their hands and do nothing, which is the smart move!!! As of yet, I have not seen any photos of the “Kissing” binge. Remember, folks Gays only make up about 4-5% of the American population.and....Obama’s, Muslim Brotherhood hates every one of them. The Obama/Gay tie-in? Go figure!!! Not a bright future for most American Gays!!!

No. It was a verbal assault on some he perceived could not fight back.

You say "po-tay-to", he says "po-tah-to".

Hiding behind the First Amendment cuts both ways. Why? Because freedom is a means to an end, not an end in itself.

Many here seem to think the same way. Read on another post here that some freepers are gathering $$ for a lawyer for her, I will check my history to see if I can find which one, but I bet I read 15 of these “bully” articles yesterday.
She has turned into America's sweetheart overnight. He...well, as another poster so eloquently put it, is a “Summer's Eve”, and the bag it came in.

Where does the First Amendment end, and "verbal assault" begin? This Smith guy was clearly on the protected speech end of things - he did not physically threaten, violate any laws, etc.

Yes, he was a complete a**hole, and yes, he deserved to be fired and ridiculed. But let's not confuse things - under the First Amendment, he had every legal right to be a complete a**hole (just like his employer had every legal right to fire him for doing so).

I’ve lost a few friends over this...because I call homosexuality ‘abnormal’...because it is exactly that. It is not typical, or ordinary. Rather it is very rare and unordinary. This tends to bring out rage in some people (who aren’t even gay).

Weird how successful the gaystapo (in concert with the media) has been in brainwashing some people.

The biology speaks for itself. You'd think anybody with an IQ of 50 could observe that reality. Parts intended for a particular use are directed to an abnormal use. The disease statistics associated with the misuse of the parts clinches the case that this behavior is the opposite of normal.

Nothing to do with "hate". Everything to do with scientific fact.

Another Kipling poem that all need to read is

Yes but the First Amendment doesn't say anything about consequences you may recieve by exercising that right.

You're absolutely right. Chick-Fil-A says something someone doesn't like, and the consequences are that this someone then says something Chick-Fil-A doesn't like.

Again, hiding behind the First Amendment cuts both ways. Why? Because freedom is a means to an end, not an end in itself. We need to use our freedom to pursue morality rather than using it as a license for immorality. Then the battle will take place where it should, rather than on the uncertain ground of "freedom of speech" where the outcome could go either way.

Since he obviously did not have a release signed by the Chick-Fil-A employee, can she not sue him for posting the video online?

Probably not. This guy did not post/sell this video for commercial purposes, so he likely did not need a release to do so.

I’m in the process of memorizing it.

I once showed a liberal CDC statistics, which showed gay people were more likely to get HIV.

She told me ‘Your statistics are outdated’....oookaay.

So we must have ‘new’ statistics somewhere, which erase the past?

And for the record (from the CDC), Men who have sex with men make up 2% of the population (that’s right, forget the 10% number that gets thrown around). And, they account for 61% of new infections.

In a sane world, teachers. clergy, and political leaders would be able to say ‘Don’t have man on man sex’.

Instead, the schools teach our children that it affects everybody equally, gay or hetero....they just lie.
