Chris Matthews: Tea Party Reminds Me Of Confederates In Civil War
RCP Video ^ | 8-2-2012

Posted on 08/03/2012 4:33:09 AM PDT by Sir Napsalot

MSNBC's Chris Matthews implies the Tea Party is racist.

Chris Matthews: I think a lot of it is ethnic to it and I'm not trashing people as racist or anything, but I think a lot of it is ethnic. Meaning, they don't like the changing demographic of the United States. So every time --

Max Pappas, FreedomWorks: Yeah, especially Hispanics like Ted Cruz.

Matthews: No, no. He's a Cuban-American and that's always been a little different situation.

Pappas: Or Marco Rubio? Allen West?

Matthews: Every time a speech is written by a Tea Partier, they're not sufficiently happy with saying, 'we're going to cut spending.' They've got to say we're going to do something with the border. By the way, the border doesn't cross Cuba by the way, it's always Mexico.

Pappas: That's not a Tea Party position.

Matthews: Well why watch Cruz that statement?

Pappas: He's in Texas, they have a big border.

Matthews: All the time, you hear border, border, border.

Pappas: What brings the whole Tea Party together across the country is at the center of American politics. It's not extreme. It's let's only spend what we bring in. It's fiscal policy.

Matthews: You're saying Tea Partiers don't have an attitude about immigration?

Pappas: No.

Matthews: They don't?

Pappas: No. There is not a consistent Tea Party position on immigration.

Matthews: What do you mean there's not a consistent position? How come when you meet them, they talk about the 'cause'? It sounds like the Confederate Army still fighting the Civil War when you talk to them.

Chris is not the fool he seems to be. He knows there are a lot of stupid democrats that like his kind of talk and he will get ratings.

Athough it's easy to suspect that that's the case with Chrissy it's not.Chrissy worked for Jimmy Carter and Tip O'Neil...two of the most loathsome individuals to ever breathe American air.

Chrissy's a true believer.

Why wouldn't America oppose the changing demographics in this country? We're importing a peasant population with no specialty trained job skills into a supposedly technologically advanced society—and someone on top of that who probably doesn't speak English.

Instead of bringing in engineers and programmers, we're bringing in another guy who can undercut our other unskilled workers when it comes to mowing the lawn or putting shingles on a roof.

Then the guy displaced from his job files for unemployment, and both he and the illegal immigrant apply for food stamps.

Oh, joy! What's not to love about those demographics?

The answer to all of this is so easily discernable that you have to think that those who oppose it have a sinister agenda.

Your 12 year statement is exactly right. Before Bush v Gore, he was reasonable. I think that prolonged election started his slide into irrationality. Between that 2000 election and the 2004 campaign, he completely lost it. By 2004 he was being challenged by Democrat Zell Miller to a duel as a result of his idiotic positions.

America and the Constitution are simply representatives of Who they really are fighting against.

One of, perhaps the most prevalent, reasons the North beat the South in the war Between the States was that the North overwhelmed the South with it's ability to manufacture war goods. Now that manufacturing has moved South, Chrissy might not want to push that analogy to reality.

Chris Matthews: Tea Party Reminds Me Of Confederates In Civil War

Hey Tinklebell!

If you knew anything about history, you'd know the ConfedeRATs were democRATs, just like you and all the subsequent segregationists like Bull Connor, George Wallace, Robert Byrd and the Ku Klux Klan.

The Abolitionists became the GOP.

Oh, Chrissy, you are really so mean to try to hurt our feelings. I know that you libs live for being adored by the media, but We the People don’t particularly care for that. Putting us down, calling us bad names, making up things — we just don’t care. Molon Labe.

CM is a case study of a mind slipping into madness.

He's creating in his sick little mind a justification for “the ends justify the means”.

People want to laugh at him for making such stupid statements, but in his mind he is simple creating the worst demon he can possibly think of as a way of justifying any action taken to stop them.

The “demon “ must be stopped by any means.

When the mind starts slipping into this type of madness, you get people like the Weather Underground calmly talking about the extermination of 25 million of their fellow citizens simply because they disagreed with them.

“Same here. I also can’t listen to Ed Shultz. I can listen to Rachel Maddow. She’s very smart and not hysterical. Don’t agree with her often but do respect her opinion.”

Sorry, she’s a liar and anyone who openly lies about a position is either a party hack or an ignoramous.

This is whatn I tell my friends on the left when they talk about Rush, Hannity and company. My first question is “Do you consider Chris Mattews a commentator or a journalist.” They say journalist, then I ask the same question about Rush. Of course they say commentator.

Then I go in for the kill. I ask, “why do you think it is that Chris Matthews and the rest of the commentators on the left have to lie about what they are, but Rush and company are proud to admit they are Conservative commentators.”

At that point I am called a racist.

‘The more he’s blind-sided on Election Night...” Wouldn’t it be terrific to hear, first — “This is going to be a close election and a very long night.” Followed by, half an hour later, “Obama has already conceded.”
