.
.
When store employees in the red shirts realize what’s happening, they block the doors to stop the young thieves from leaving.

But the kids physically struggle to get out and even appear to hit the store manager who then swings back. After the brief altercation, many kids dash out the door.
.
.
After reviewing the surveillance video, the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s office opted not to pursue criminal charges in the case saying not every conflict warrants them.
.
.
A bill to toughen the punishments for this kind of crime failed to pass in Maryland’s last legislative session. Del. Jeff Waldstreicher of Montgomery County says he plans to reintroduce the bill again in the next session.

Police say some of the kids seen in the surveillance video at the Light Street 7-Eleven were students in school uniforms from Merganthaler Vocational-Technical High School in Northeast Baltimore.

"Arm and train the clerks. If the police will not punish then the staff must defend or the business will not be able to continue."

The possibility of death, to the average person, is deterrent. Not to most of these kids.

Beside that they will, in all probability, have guns of their own and start blazing away. If they "lose" round one with you, they will regroup and hit you again, this time with more gusto.

I agree with your statement but for these situations (flash mobs) I don't think it practical.

The Kenyan must go.

“After reviewing the surveillance video, the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s office opted not to pursue criminal charges in the case saying not every conflict warrants them.”

And there you go.

That’s shows how weak our “justice” system is. They don’t even try to hunt them down as deserved.

This is basically the same cop-out as “we can’t track down and deport 14 million undocumented workers!”

What a screwy bastardly bunch we’ve become.

Cowardly response.

No, realistic. Suppose you explain how you think these situations would evolve that one or two armed clerks would not wind up dead dealing with a gang of 30 to 40 .

The Kenyan must go.

I can’t explain courage of conviction to you.

You have it or you don’t.

You don’t.

DE may be tax free but MD is plain ol FREE FREE!

So that's why Maryland is nicknamed the "Free State"

Flash mobs have become the new form of rioting — call it “cold rioting” as distinguished from “hot rioting” (a la Rodney King).

Sure, they can only loot it once if they burn it down.

Recent videos of two and five armed bros invading an internet cafe and a hock shop. Clerk whips out handgun and fires back. In neither incident was one of the miscreants killed. In neither incident did they fire back. In both they stumbled all over each other trying to get out the door. They are doing these things for some easy money or for some fun with a little loot thrown in. They are not interested in dying for these things .Arguably, in both cases had they hoods shot back they could have killed the defenders handily but they panicked instead. They are not ideological revolutionaries or bent on some sort of tribal revenge that would render their own lives worth the accomplishment of their missions.

"They need to arrest anyone in groups of 4 or more."

Only if they're meeting for prayer at somebody's house.

Mega lols. Sad but true.
