Law Enforcement Frustrated With Growing Number Of Flash Mob Crimes In Md.
CBS Baltimore ^ | July 26, 2012 | Derek Valcourt

.
.
When store employees in the red shirts realize what’s happening, they block the doors to stop the young thieves from leaving.

But the kids physically struggle to get out and even appear to hit the store manager who then swings back. After the brief altercation, many kids dash out the door.
.
.
After reviewing the surveillance video, the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s office opted not to pursue criminal charges in the case saying not every conflict warrants them.
.
.
A bill to toughen the punishments for this kind of crime failed to pass in Maryland’s last legislative session. Del. Jeff Waldstreicher of Montgomery County says he plans to reintroduce the bill again in the next session.

Police say some of the kids seen in the surveillance video at the Light Street 7-Eleven were students in school uniforms from Merganthaler Vocational-Technical High School in Northeast Baltimore.

So the B'more City Attorney's office considers a mob of black teenagers robbing a convenience store to be "a conflict", and not a crime?

...and the MD General Assembly does not feel that tougher punishments to address this growing criminal activity is warrented?

At least they find the time to raise taxes high enough to create an exodus of business owners and citizens to neighboring Virginia, while the mayor of B'more has set a goal to recruit 10,000 illegal alien families to the city.

They need to arrest anyone in groups of 4 or more.

Nothing extraordinary here, unfortunately.

Gee, wonder what’s going on?! It’s a liberal paradice in Maryland! A frien of mine was in Eastport (near Annapolis) an area that’s considered absolute commie utopia. He has a “1/2013, End of an Error) sticker on his car. Two tires slashed by the tolerant, diverse people of MD.

They deserve flash mobs. They should be thrilled! This is what they wanted. If someone doesn’t have what they want...take it!

DE may be tax free but MD is plain ol FREE FREE!

I wonder how long it will take before the "tolerance" of local business wears thin

Arm and train the clerks. If the police will not punish then the staff must defend or the business will not be able to continue.

The recent ‘Occupy’ movement with its shadowy organizational origins and even more ambiguous sources of funding are another harbinger of social unrest to come. Merely another situation under-reported and misrepresented by a media strangely uninterested in the whole story, but the sentiment of those participating is easy enough to discern: "Capitalism has taught us that no one is ever going to give us anything," said OSC spokesperson Mark Paschal. "You have to take it.'' His comments (and all that they imply) and many, many others like it have an old familiar ring:

"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions."
This is almost word-for-word what is coming from the mouths of the OWS crowd, and you would find few among them who would disagree with it. In fact, you would find few among our intelligentsia, our artists, our journalists, even our preachers and pastors who would find fault with any of it. But it’s old news, as the quote comes from a speech made in May 1, 1927 by one of the true nemeses and monsters of the last century, one Adolf Hitler.

Ah, the pedigree of ideas...

"Tougher punishments" are only useful to The Police State for further subjugating law-abiding peasants.

The Baltimore DA could find dozens of charges to file against these yutes in order to get them to plead.

There are already laws against robbery.

Sooner or later Holder’s people are going to “flash rob” a store where the owner is going to unload a shotgun in their faces. It might spark a SHTF moment in the inner cities of this country.

So the B'more City Attorney's office considers a mob of black teenagers robbing a convenience store to be "a conflict", and not a crime?

Nothing new, in the ultra leftist SF Bay Area crime statistics have been falling because progressive mayors have ordered police chiefs to have officers lower the level of of the seriousness of the crime on police reports, on pain of firing. Police chiefs serve at the pleasure of the mayor, and will pass the firing on down the line by performance reports before they go.

Thus the progressive mayors and DA's can fulfill their political promise of lowering the crime rate without actually arresting or prosecuting any of their voting block. It's the California criminal protection plan, and it works fine.

And mobs of teens have looted several stores like the one in Montgomery County, stealing hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise.

Most upsetting to MoCo officials is the loss of tax revenue from the plastic bags, no doubt.

Only one way retail business will survive in those conditions: place all merchandise in secure inventory. No floor displays or samples. You want something? Point to the picture of what you want. Pay for it. Move on.

Likely,... I know in California the retailer must pay the sales tax on stolen merchandise, CA government NEVER loses out, suspect same in MD.
