Well, unfortuneately, this is one Chick-Fil-A which probably shouldn't be patronized today - or any day for that matter.

NASHUA, NH (CBS) – A Nashua Chick-Fil-A restaurant will be sponsoring New Hampshire Pride Fest.
Ryan Manseau, the senior director of Pride Fest, told WBZ-TV he was handing out fliers at the Pheasant Lane Mall recently to promote his event and noticed a man who appeared to be a Chick-Fil-A manager holding one.

Manseau said he approached the man, bracing for a verbal confrontation. He turned out to be the franchise operator, Anthony Piccola, who agreed to help sponsor the event and to serve Chick-Fil-A sandwiches there.

Well, as they say one bad apple don’t spoil the whole bunch. He just happened to buy a CFA franchise, which was unfortunate. Does not undo the amazing numbers we are seeing today in support of Dan Cathy and for first amendment and traditional marriage rights.

I am so glad that I didn’t waste my time to drive over to Nashua today to give this place my patronage today..I’ll wait until I am down South to hit a CFA..

But local franchise owner Piccola doesn’t see things that way. In fact, he’s helping to sponsor a gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender pride festival held later this month.

I was planning on going there tonight in support of CFA day.

And if CFA doesn’t pull this jerk’s franchise, I will be adding CFA to the list with JC Penney and Target on it.
His non-action will highlight the hypocrisy of the fascist left and their enforcement of group think.
This fruity franchise can sink or swim on its own, but he shouldn't come looking to the parent company for any support if his business struggles.
Yeah. People need to get there asap with signs to alert people. Innocent people will feel terrible if they find out later they supported the homosexuals. Some one needs to tell them before they spend any money there.
There are going to be a WHOLE LOT of angry folks once they learn that a portion of the money they spent there today is going to support a pervert parade (instead of supporting a pro-family restaurant). He may be out of business pretty soon, I hope.

Told them I was going to tell all my friends and family to be sure that the Chick-Fil-A franchise shares the vision of its founder before patronizing it.

They are going to have to either protest loudly about CFA and how bigoted they are, after this guy volunteered, or eat the sandwiches that some lefty was hoping would kill all the conservatives with trans fats.
Would you give a restaurant your business if they had a banner out front which read, “5% off all proceeds this month will go towards supporting the gay pride festival”?

What if there was no banner or advertising about it, but you found out the restaurant was in fact allocating a percentage of sales to the gay pride festival. Would you give them your business?

Do you think like-minded family, friends or coworkers who might on occassion visit the business might appreciate if you mentioned to them that a percentage of their spending there was supporting the gay pride parade? so that they were not unwittingly also partly supporting the gay pride parade?

As for me, I will continue to boycott Miller Lite who sponsored a gay orgy for decades, sponsored a sado-maso parody of the Last Supper, et al.
And the Left and corporate suits were upset over this principled boycott.
I guess that sounds reasonable. This is why the homos are urging a national boycott, they found out that a portion of the corporate cash supports traditional marriage organizations and they don’t want a part of that. Same issue here.
I would support the Nashua CFA on any other days just to support the national company,but would steer clear on Gay Chicken Days. Um pride, sorry.

After discussing this a little, I don’t think this is mindless groupthink, it’s a matter of who you wish to fund.
Some of the lefty response is just that, jumponthebandwagon groupthink, but being aware of who you support and who you don’t is a bit more intellectual.
I don’t know the franchisee’s motivations, could be he’s actually supporting gay pride, otoh he could be making a more subtle move in giving the gays a complex problem to solve, boycott or accept support?
Actually, yes. I used to work for a CFA. The franchise owners are very carefully screened and groomed. I'm completely shocked.

According to the story, this franchise owner is offering to provide CATERING to an event that will be held elsewhere, NOT AT HIS RESTAURANT.
And Mr. Cathy never said anything about not serving homosexuals in his restaurant, or elsewhere. THAT is the mistake made by too many in this whole kerfuffle. Mr. Cathy will gladly serve anyone who comes into his restaurants. Some folks think that Chick-Fil-A hates homosexuals and wants them all killed (THAT was a quote from some idiot in the comments section of a TV station that aired a story on one of the local Chick Fil A yesterday). This franchise owner will be dispelling that myth.

I agree, let’s see how his plays out. The danger when playing with Alinskyites is that they can take advantage of anything. What if he caters the event, and 150 gays all call in sick because they claim they got salmonella? hat would make huge news since any cluster of salmonella makes the news. The the spin begins.
That kind of claim would be investigated, and easily refuted with science, and it being a huge story, can be shot down easily. Remember, THEY don’t own the news anymore, so if they tried that, when they fail, they WILL damage their own cause, and bring sympathy to the franchise owner, who WAS trying to do the right thing.

It says this CFA owner is going to help SPONSOR the gay pride event as well as cater. As far as I can tell, there was never an assumption the freak show would be held in the restaurant.
Of course, I wouldn't put it past the "senior director of Pride Fest" to lie about Mr. Piccola's sponsorship commitment. It's quite possible his only involvement was to serve food and the gay guy embellished a bit.
