Gay marriage rises as wedge in 2012 race
FOX News ^ | July 31 2012 | John Roberts

The Democratic National Committee made headlines this week with the announcement that for the first time, it is moving to include a plank supporting same-sex marriage in the party's convention platform.

It appeared to be a bit of an "in your face" to the host state, North Carolina, which just voted by 61 percent for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.

The Democratic Party, though, has been emboldened since President Obama reversed course and came out in favor of same-sex marriage in May. ..

Obama has energized the LGBT lobby and Hollywood, raising millions of dollars off the announcement for his campaign. ..

Funny how gay “marriage” is far more important than fixing the economy—still.

Just watch.....more Democrats will leave the party. They won’t want to be seen as supporting this decision and I don’t blame them a bit.

There is no such thing as homosexual “marriage”. It is further destruction of English—which the Marxists have done since 1900.

We cannot allow the continuation of the corruption of our language-—it will destroy meaning and ideas and conceptions and worldview in children (which is the plan).

Sodomy is a Vice and can NEVER be promoted by Just Law. Our Standard in the USA is God’s Standard of Right and Wrong. Up and until Holmes, Jr. and the Fabian Socialists-—who infiltrated schools and the universities and law schools—Marxist thinking wasn’t allowed in jurisprudence in the USA.

There is no RIGHT to sodomy. It should still be illegal and punished like all Vices used to be when we had individual freedom and the freedom of association and freedom of religion.

Promoting Vice as Good and a Right-—is destroying the Christian paradigm which created this country. Removing God’s Standard-—is inserting Marx’s (Barney Frank’s) Godless Standards of “feel good”—”do it”.

Sodomy pushers—are pushing pederasty (all homosexual cultures had pederasty as normal—that Sandusky urge is produced when young boys are abused)—and all of it is unconstitutional because it destroys the Freedom of Religion in this country and our US Legal system based on Rights from God.

It appeared to be a bit of an "in your face"

It always is, which is why the democrats are going to lose so many voters this election. The other 98% of the population is heterosexual (more if you don't count the prison inmates who don't have a choice).

Oboma may be bisexual, but the country is not. Because of that, Romney is going to do very well in November.

It appears the left has fallen for it's own propaganda. There's no such thing as "homosexual tolerance. " People are smart enough to know exactly what these people are, and they don't want their kids, or themselves, anywhere near them.

I’m wondering just exactly how many sharks the D’s have committed to jumping this year.

This is the equivalent of the Republicans adding a plank of taking away the women’s vote.

I’m all for it (so’s my wife) but it would not help the cause one bit. :-)

This is a GREAT idea by the DNC! Why not clearly demonstrate the propensity of Democrats for specious reasoning and disordered minds?

Only an insane person would equate sexual perversion to normal and natural heterosexual union, and thus compromise public health and safety.

They'd better! Both parties would be considered perverted and disgusting if they didn't. Romney has said he believes in natural human marriage, so I think the country is safe on that issue.

Homo tolerance does not exist. It's nothing but a well planned thought control campaign. They forgot about one thing, though. Forcing someone to think and act contrary to their conscience never ends well for the enforcers.

It's almost as if the democrats are trying to help the Republicans win this one. They're destroying the culture, economy, the military, and the government right in front of every ones eyes. It's hard to believe they think Americans will love them for it.

8-10 percent unemployment under a Democrat President
First time ever America loses its AAA credit rating -under a Democrat President.
Record numbers of Americans are on food stamp programs. Under a Democrat President
In 3.5 years a Democrat President has presided over a Debt equal to more then every other President combined.
And what is the Democrat Party working on? Making homosexual marriage a part of their Convention Platform.

Maybe they have no choice. Oboma has been soooo bad for this country, they're going to use a Hail Mary pass.

For some reason, they're risking their own demise over this. They must be really, really, desperate. The prevs are less than 1% (because prison inmates who are felons can't vote) of the vote. They're handing the other 98% of the vote over to Republicans on a silver platter.

What you don’t understand is that many have “gay” relatives, nieces, cousins, etc. Many others want to be seen as “tolerant.” Few things have gained the popularity of the gay movement in the past forty years. Many are too uninformed to see.

“And yet Romney utters nary a peep.”

I’d say Romney is in a difficult position, given his comments that he supports gay adoption (which by inference must lead to support for same sex marriage, unless you want adopted kids having unmarried parents) and his past support of gay issues.

IMO these media attacks against Chick-Fil-A —and now that Cake Baker in Lakewood are the typical probing attacks. Time to keep the guns up-and the eyes open wide. And not run down every bloody rabbit trail. Remember the enemy declared they had defeated us back in Sept.1987 -Warning to the Homophobes—by Steve Warren ,Act UP p.29 The Advocate. And since then the Court has ceded Romer v. Evans ,Lawrence v. Texas-and how many similar cases? Are we not rushing down the same broad path that Edward Gibbon spoke of in his Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire published during our Founding? Does not Toynbee sound a bit of a prophet we beat up and robbed for his warning to America during the 60’s? And what of those 10 Warning signs of a Nation in Decline Jim Nelson Black spoke of prior to 2000? common to all decline was the national suicide of State recognition and protection of homosexual behavior.

Romney has said he believes in natural human marriage

And six wives is more natural than one.

Be careful quoting what "Romney has said". Virtually any point of view, including strong support for homo marriage and abortion, can be found in past Romney statements. Version 2012 isn't representative of his past and may not be representative of his future.

I’m hoping that trend continues in my state, Washington, this November, but it’s going to be close. As you may know, Gates and Bozos have given millions to the homo marriage promoters. Here the voter sentiments line up pretty cleanly along geographic boundaries (western WA: godless secular liberals vs. eastern WA: bitter clingers living in flyover country.

That is very true and an excellent point. The problem is that while being tolerant and understanding, most of us DO NOT WANT THIS IDEA IN OUR FACE EVERY DAMN DAY!!

What people do in private is up to them, whether it involve dogs, cats or whatever, except children of course.

To POLITICIZE perversion is insane. And keeping this in front of everyone all the time is the very definition of TOO MUCH INFORMATION.

I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT GAYS SAY, DO, OR THINK.

BTW, I do indeed have a such a relative...
