Ironic. Liberals have long claimed low IQ perpetrators, breakers of unpopular laws/rules (e.g., harsh actions for illegal aliens, etc.) or the ‘common man’ should somehow be exempt or deserve special consideration in review of their crimes or their race. I might add that this special consideration never seems to extend itself to conservatives or ‘rich’ people.
So what’s happening now is that a man who cannot be connected to any of the undeserving categories (rich, conservative, etc.) is claiming mental disability - amnesia.

This guy is not—IMO—a schizophrenic (I am a physician, but not a psychiatrist). Schizophrenics cannot plan like this guy did, nor could someone in the throes of this most serious mental illness do what he did in booby-trapping his apartment. Ted Kaczynski was not schizophrenic, nor was the Norwegian shooter Breivik. Perhaps borderline personality disorder or other diagnosis fits best. I would bet on drugs (legal and/or illegal) as being the main culprits with this dude’s descent into mental hell.
Who knows? Maybe. Maybe he's just a clever, high-IQ liar. And maybe he's a government "The Finders" type experiment.
How is the average American to find out. The judge has clamped down on information. And even if he didn't, there are no intrepid reporters who will investigate unless the CIA media guy that works in their press bureau directs them to look for a Tea Party angle.

Maybe this shooting is a blessing in disguise.
Maybe the shooter had a brain chip implant and somehow the blue screen of death appeared. No one saw it. No one knew how to "Control/Alt/delete". Drugs seemed the only way to cover up the screw-up. The brain chip started functioning based on what the eyes saw on another computer screen. It became a chip to chip communication. Would-be shooter became more and more obsessed with computer games to the point he couldn't differentiate between reality and cyber world.
Question: If the government messed up with this particular brain chip implant, would they notify the public? Never mind, they sealed the files.

The pictures I saw of the bloody footprints did not lead from the theater doors to his car. One picture clearly showed the footprints leading up the sidewalk away from his car.

He can claim anything he wants, and I will not be too concerned about it. He will not get out into society, ever. His only options are death penalty, the supermax prison in Colorado, or a mental institution. Probably the mental institution option seems better. But he will never be a free man any more than Charles Manson.

Those footprints belong to the victims. They ran out of that exit door. Police also took some of the victims in their squad cars so the prints could have been from a victim who was helped by police.
The shooter probably never saw any prints. He was most possibly in custody by then.
