The White House incorrectly claimed that a bust of Winston Churchill was not removed from the White House when President Obama moved in, insisting with emphatic certainty that it had simply been moved to the residence but then retracting the assertion.
In a “Fact Check” post added to the White House website Friday, White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer scornfully dismissed as “100% false” the “rumor” that Obama had removed the Churchill bust that had presided over the George W. Bush Oval Office and shipped it back to the British.
Turns out Pfeiffer’s was the false statement.

Well.
In what he labeled an “Update” but which is actually a “Correction,” Pfeiffer later added that there are in fact two busts, and the one that was in the Oval Office was indeed removed when Obama took office.

What the heck is so hard about saying “Oops, I got it wrong, there are TWO busts, and one was indeed returned to the British in 2009”.
Had he done that, it would have been a 15-second story and be dead by now.
Meanwhile the hapless Press Secretary Carney did a Ralph Kramden humma-humma trying to avoid answering the question of what’s the capital of Israel.

We are long past the time when every ‘name’ in the conservative sphere with a podium and a microphone should have started saying the honest truth about this admin. As you said, Nothing these people say can be trusted. NOTHING.
If water was said by this admin to be wet and conduct electricity, I’d throw a radio in the tub and hop in because all evidence of these people’s honesty points to it being a lie.
Seriously. The ‘respect for the office excuse isn’t cutting it. We are past that. There is nothing there to respect because a liar ‘is’ the office now.
