There are Obama doubters and haters out there who claim with righteous anger that they are “vetting” the president, something they say the mainstream media never did. Some of them have said that my new biography — unwittingly, they argue, for I am too dumb to understand what my research has unearthed — proves that Barack Obama’s defining memoir is phony and that his entire life is a fraud. My intent is not to defend Obama or his book; he can take care of himself, and I have my own questions about “Dreams From My Father,” which I make clear in my book. But when comparing the liberties Obama took with composite characters and compressed chronology — which he acknowledged in the introduction to his memoir — to the stretches his most virulent detractors have taken in building their various conspiracies, I believe that they are the frauds and fabricators.

Well, David, I can't answer for anybody else, but my disdain for Mr. Obama stems from his Un-American and Anti-American self, and he has no business leading this nation. (For a start, if you are still interested in my opinion, I can go on.)

What Maraniss has performed is what was called in the Nixon days a “modified limited hangout” in which a limited amount of damaging information was acknowledged in an effort to protect the revelation of even more damaging information.
Yeah, must be his race, not the intentional destruction of America, that drives us to oppose him... yep, if he were white, we’d be behind him all the way. And if a conservative black candidate were running for president, we’d oppose him because he’s black. Yep, it’s all about that melanin content, not the policy or character.
The left picked 0bama SPECIFICALLY because he’s black so they could deflect all criticism of their agenda with the charge of racism.
Because he hates and is trying to impoverish my country? Because he wants to take what I earn and give it to someone who doesn't work? Because he himself admitted he hates people of my ethnicity? Because he lies to me every day? Because he has made common cause with my enemies?
As Christopher Hitchens said of Bill and Hillary, I don’t hate Barry. I have contempt for him, which is different.
Maraniss is trying to justify his past behavior now that he has been hit in the face with the truth.
He has decided to murder the truth and embrace his past.
It would be better to find out what drives Obama believers and lovers.

I absolutely love to see this kind of article. It is the best indication that paydirt has been struck. Maraniss must be getting Holy heck from his lib buds to such an extent that he can’t even show his face around town.
It is only the family budget and livelihood of our kids that Obama has completely trashed....The author apparently thinks that should not cause anyone any concern.
Notice how he waited a while until book sales fell off before writing an attack piece against potential book buyers/readers.
At least Obama does not have to worry about his Harvard Law Review articles being taken to misintepretation by readers....since there weren’t any.

From the tone and context, it seems that anyone who agrees with the second half of the sentence must by implication be a “doubter” and a “hater”.
I don’t have to doubt. I can look things up sufficiently well myself. Take for example that BHO is the “first black president”. But BHO, by his own statements in his autobiography is not “black”. His biological mother was Caucasian. So he is mixed race, no matter what his biological father was.
A little searching shows that BHO’s father was 87.5% Arab. We also know, again from his autobiography, that in his youth he struggled with his racial identity and finally decided he was “black”.
If you mother was not “black” and your father was more Arab than black, how can you be “black”? Only if “black” is not a racial identity but an ideological one.
Putting aside that Bill Clinton was called “the first black president” by a Nobel prize winning poet, Tony Morrison, when leftist talk about “black” public figures, they omit people such as Alan West, and Justice Clarence Thomas. It seems that the only black people who are “black” are liberals. What worries me and is not how black BHO is but how RED.
Besides being the “first black president”, BHO has one more thing in common with Bill Clinton: his account of events and reasons for policy were often more falsehood than truth. It became obvious that with Clinton, and now with Obama, the truth is a lie yet undiscovered.
The man is an American hating Muslim, he breaks the laws set forth in the constitution, he’s a racist and a bigot, He has committed treason on more than one occasion, he and most of his administration are pathological liars and criminals. Need more?
I'd have had more respect for him if he admitted that the mainstream media really didn't "vet" Obama in 2008, and if he didn't make the accusation of racism at the end. He could have done a lot to promote rational discourse if he'd been more honest and resisted the temptation to vilify those he disagrees with.

I don’t hate Obama. I already knew what he was in 2008. Based on that, I knew what he would do for 4 years and know what he is going to do for the next 4.
What I hate is the MSM for failing to do their jobs.

Like most everyone who has complied with the Alinsky ridicule tactic, you probably would say, if forced to respond, “Well, natural born citizens were never defined by the Constitution, so it means whatever Congress claims it means.” Can you name any term used in the Constitution and defined by its text? Had you read carefully, you might find one, but the Constitution was explicity, as explained by James Madison, written to depend upon the common-law and language familiar to its framers. That was to protect its meanings from the natural evolution in language. Chief Justice John Marshall, founder, framer, and student at our nation's first law school, created by Jefferson at William and Mary in 1779, restated the common law in The Venus, 12 US 253, citing Vattel’s Law of Nations, our nation's first law book, assigned as the first required text by Thomas Jefferson. Facts, particularly if they are repeated, become boring and ignorable, like the provisions of our Constitution. "Born on the soil to citizen parents" is our common law, never changed, and affirmed by Chief Justice Waite in Minor, and Justice Gray in Wong Kim Ark, and Chief Justice Hughes in Perkins v. Elg in 1939.
Obama was born to a non-citizen, and was, in his own words, born a naturalized US citizen. Native-born citizens are 14th Amendment citizens, naturalized citizens. American Indians were native-born, and not even citizens, because they didn't swear sole allegiance to our Constitution. For what its worth, very little apparently, that is why natural born citizens must have been born to parents who swear allegiance, or inherit it from their parents. Barack Obama is a naturalized citizen, naturalized using the same statute used to naturalize anchor babies. He is not a natural born citizen, and has never claimed to be one.
The Republicans and the media prevented the question from being asked and the courts used standing to insure that it would not be answered. Justice Roberts probably prevented the Supreme Court from hearing any of the many cases asking the Constitutional eligibility question, citing the precedent in Minor v. Happersett. The court can overturn precedent, but they will have to give their reason, and that would expose the subterfuge to citizens too busy surviving to read legal history. This will probably rival his Obamacare decision in establishing Robert's legacy as the truth becomes better understood in years to come.
