My favorite store BTW.
Guns and freeze dried food are major sellers to the point of maxing out supply. Both are sold by Cabellas.
Cabela’s really does need to send a thank you note to Hussein for their increased sales.
Folks must be buying fishing lures like crazy.
heh heh
Everybody should add a room to their house for the same purpose.
I simply love the store in Hamburg.
I am honored to have a Cabelas in my hometown. :)
I like their stuff they carry but their markup is too high for me. Unless they have a doorbuster sale item I don’t shop there.
Indeed. I bought a whole bunch of "fishing lures" and lost them all in a tragic boating accident in the Okeefenokee Swamp.
I don’t wanta grow Up I’m A Cabelas kid they have everything I want just like Ar-s and Handguns and ammo to, camping and hiking it doesn’t matter what you like to do.
I don’t want to grow up I’m a Cabelas kid.
When we are at Cabelas theirs nothing the government can do.
Ok I’m a Cabelas kid and I admit it.
One Christmas the Cabela’s by us was pretty crowded and my son remarked, “Wow, there are actually more human heads than animal heads in the store.”
Hubby bought me a coat from there 2 years ago.
I just love it, it was everything I wanted, warm but short, with a hood with a real fur trim (it’s coyote or something weird like that I think), and more, it has a lovely embroidered design and as I told him, it sort of makes me feel like Sarah Palin when I wear it!
No surprise here.
had I known 3 1/2 years ago what would happen, I would’ve scraped together money to buy stock in guns ‘n ammo - and now retire on a mortgage free farm

Prior to 1987 Cabelas had one store...in Sidney, Nebraska. In 1987 they opened their store in Kearney, Nebraska. I lived in Lincoln, Nebraska at that time, and my wife sold fancy fish tanks. Cabelas order some large custom made tanks for their new store, to be stocked with Nebraska game fish. One tank was 2300 gallons, and the other two were each half that. I delivered those tanks in two trips from Dallas, where they were made, to Kearney. We have watched their remarkable growth over the years, and I have visited a number of their stores around the country. Can’t wait for the first Ohio store to open!
Old Mr Cabela began this business tying fishing lures on his back porch. People liked them and they started selling. The rest is history.
Each Cabela’s store has a ‘Bargain Cave’. When you visit one of their stores, you will sometimes find really good deals there.
And yes, they have the Bummer to thank for some of their remarkable growth in these ‘hard’ times. Shooting has become big business.
I’ve never been in one of their stores but I’ve been a catalog customer for years and I’ve never been disappointed in quality of merchandise or service. I do have the Cabela’s Visa and a member of Cabela’s club. Most of my casual clothes and almost all of my footwear come from them in addition to hunting, fishing and shooting supplies. I even have some wildlife prints, bedspreads and all kind of stuff. I really like doing business with Cabela’s.
