Actually, I think they should concentrate on following people around in the kind of flea markets I go to, rather than the high-end venues they feature. Instead, the show actually has the “pickers” going into upscale antique shops to buy things, and then try to sell them at auction for a profit.

Chick-Fil-A has these First 100 grand opening specials, where if you camp outside their restaurant 24 hours before they open a new store, you get a year’s free meals (a meal a week for 52 weeks.)

Thank you so much. Peggy Noonan has an article, Entitled, “ A Remedial Communication Class”, panning Obama for his statement that he didn’t know that he needed to tell the American people a “story” to frame his agenda, which is exactly what this Lackoff was telling him to do.

What Obama is trying to do is post modernist revisionist history. He wants to reverse the endless promise of the manifest destiny and turn it into, a story of greed and theft and exploitation.
To Obama and the Democrats, the pioneers and early businessmen of this country were criminals, not inspired adventurers, who risked everything for freedom to be the best that they could be.
I know, I stopped reading her a long time ago. Frankly, I never really liked her writing style and the fact that she always makes herself a part of the story.
Lately, she has had some pretty good criticisms of Barack Obama. It’s pretty funny because she has yet to acknowledge that she was a big promoter of Obama during the election. She routinely praised his oratorical skills.

Rush is talking about the Democrats robbing the suburbs to fund the cities and he is right on.
In WA State, we have a Growth Management Act, which essentially turns the rural, unincorporated areas of the state into colonies to be exploited by the imperialistic tendencies of the state government. There is very little self rule and now they are planning to build the biggest coal terminal in the country in a rural, unincorporated area of our county. The players are all the biggest crony capitalist partners of the Obama administration, Goldman Sachs, BNSF (Goldman Sachs, and the UMW, led by Richard Trumpka, the head of the AFL-CIO, The problem is that the Republicans have jumped on board, too, because they think that the terminal will only hurt the radical green Democrats who tend to be richer and live along the coast.
I want to push that no life busy body nosy woman off a bridge...

A large part of the Democrat war on suburbia and rural America involves the government unions, the First Responders. The idea is to unite the various First Responders unions under a single national union, with a single pay and benefit structure which would be spread across the whole country, forcing the suburban and rural communities to subsidize the high cost of the inner city first responder unions.
The Democrat activists in Bellingham have even stated that they would like to see the rural residents pay the same sewage, water and trash removal rates as the cities. They have come up with a septic tank inspection system that they want to implement, but have so far run into a few road blocks. The idea is to somehow force the rural residents to subsidize the costs of sewage disposal, water and trash removal for the city.
That's exactly what Kurtz's book appears to be about.

Did you read the wiki article on Lakoff? The guy is amazing and dangerous. What he is talking about is actually a form of mind control, mass mind control, using spatial images, colors and metaphors (and straw men) rather in depth explanations of complicated issues to convince people that they agree with what is being said. I’m pretty sure that it is the same technique used by tent preachers and the Nazis.
The interesting line in the article was that Lakoff and his followers use NEUROSCIENCE to study how the brain interprets linguistic images and that for the last decade, Lakoff has been applying his theories to politics. I’m wondering if this is really what the neuroscience course at the University of Colorado is all about.
Holmes was more interested in the genetics of neuroscience, obviously looking for answers to why his thinking was more than a little off. It is only natural that Holmes would be questioning the genetics, since he was adopted and couldn’t blame his adoptive parents or even look to them for answers.
