New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he's open to running for president in four years if the job is open.
The first-term Republican says he hopes fellow Republican Mitt Romney beats President Barack Obama in November and seeks re-election in 2016. But if the presidency is open, Christie says he'll "certainly think about it."

Which liberal POS is the GOP-e going to choose for 2016?
Dollars to doughnuts says the Bush mafia will be tough to overcome.

Not trying to sound nasty but Gov. Christie needs to give serious thought to dropping some weight and worrying about his own health before he worries about higher political office. Seriously, he’s 49 and in prime heart attack territory...

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he's open to running for president in four years if the job is open. What a brilliant statement Chris. The job of president is open every four years.
If you're serious, I suggest you spend the intervening four years losing at least 150-200 lbs.

Stay in NJ Chris - they like you there. The Rino Rash is no longer wanted.
Wisconsin may lend us Scott Walker for America.

NJ will probably be bankrupt by then, so he’ll need another gig. The rule ought to be that if you come from a state that hasn’t voted Republican for at least three of the last four elections, you are disqualified for the nomination.

My first thought, too. At his weight and with the stress of his job, he won’t make it to 2016. He needs to lose about 200 pounds.

No thanks. How about the GOP try something new by nominating a conservative for a change? It's been a third of a century since the GOP nominated Reagan, who was the last successful Republican president. Since then we've had Bush I, Bob Dole, Bush II, McCain and now Romney, as the GOP pretends Reagan's two landslides never happened and nominates one non-conservative mediocrity after another using electability as an excuse.
Or maybe we can all stop pretending that the Republican Party speaks for or represents conservative principles and foster the creation of a political party that does.

I did not know [Christie is an avid supporter of semi-auto bans] and if true it is a non-refundable deal-breaker. Yes, it's true. In fact, in one of his campaigns, Christie tried to make political hay out of the fact that his opponent did not support "assault weapons bans" as Christie himself proudly did.
It's amazing what passes for Republican in the northeast United States: Christie, Giuliani, and wasn't there some Massachusetts governor who was very similar? Lessee, what was his name? I can't seem to recall. It's on the tip of my tongue...

OK, so we get it. Stay in New Jersey and loose some weight. How about loosing 150 lbs., and then be a contender for president? How about a weight loss now and a VP contender? Either way he is a pit bull, a leaner one with all that shed weight.

His big fat mouth is also open to heavily lard content burgers and fries which he stuffs to the point of almost bursting a the seams. Oh that will sure look good on a televised debate against the donks. That would make a great campaign slogan, though: “Hamburger, hamburger, cheeseburger, hamburger, hamburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger, hamburger.”

Why should he have to lose weight? Two reasons:
1. Sometimes there is a psychological, subliminal objection to a person that's overweight.
2. His health.
