“The president, however, suggested Wednesday that it “shouldn’t be controversial” to make the case that a “mentally unbalanced” person shouldn’t be able to get a gun so easily.”

So, is Obama prepared to suggest that we make people’s mental health history a public record? So, I (an FFL) will be able to check to see if my gun customer has ever been treated by a psychologist and that will be grounds for denying them their 2nd Amendment civil liberties?

Interesting. I wonder how the typically liberal members of the medical/mental health care profession will feel about that. What if the person has never been to a mental health care profession, but they’re acting “odd.” Would Obama be OK with a system where friends, parents, co-workers could report people they BELIEVE are unstable and that person would then be denied basic rights? So much for due process (not to mention the presumption of innocence and privacy concerns).

Quite a can of worms he’s kicking around there.

The Aurora shooter had no history of mental illness or criminal conduct before last week. How would Mr. Obama’s plan have stopped him?

It'd be interesting to see what's in Obummer's own file.

He has abandonment issues from both his father AND mother running out on him.

He abused cocaine, pot, and who knows what other drugs.

He was indoctrinated as a child in antiAmerican rhetoric by socialists.

He's one screwed up nutcase venting against America.

I went to my doctor for a regular checkup the other day he spent an extra 10 minutes on the computer putting in all my info as per Obama Care law I asked only about the new computers in the exam room he stated he now has to register all info to the government he was not happy about it at all as was his nurse. The government will at a key stroke bring up all your medical records at will any item they deem can and will be used to prevent you from getting a CCW mark my words folks its coming. Lock and load.

I would like to know why once having accepted psychiatric treatment should be a bars against ever owning a weapon. I think that’s is one reason returning soldiers don’t seeking help. To do so means the forfeiture of a precious right.

I wouldn’t considered getting help under that threat.
