When asked whether the House Republicans would permit or not permit funding for Obamacare in whatever legislation is enacted to fund the government after Sept. 30--when the current funding legislation runs out--House Speaker John Boehner responded that "our goal would be to make sure the government is funded," thus indicating that House Republicans do plan to fund implementation of Obamacare past Sept. 30.
Unless a special provision is put into the bill to fund the government past Sept. 30 that expressly prohibits funding specifically for the Obamacare regulation that requires health-care plans to cover, without cost-sharing, sterilizations, artificial contraceptives and abortifacients, the House Republicans, by funding implementation of Obamacare, will also be funding implementation of that regulation.

This is a holding action. If the House Republicans start a fight to withhold funding for the AFA they risk losing seats in the House and Senate they’ll need to repeal it. It’s a calculated political move - I think it’s the right one.

What is wrong with all of you spineless so-called Republicans? We do NOT want Obamacare funded. We want it repealed. Because of Obamacare, I will most likely lose my employer’s health insurance coverage within the next 2 years, even though Obama said we could keep our present coverage if we so desired. By the way, if all of you believe Obamacare is such a good policy, then subject yourself and the entire Congress to the same plan. You have no idea how disgusted we conservatives are with the Republicans in Congress who do not have the guts to stand up for what is right. All of you talk a good game and then cave in like cheap cameras. The American people do NOT want Obamacare and as our representatives, it is your duty to implement our wishes. Shame on all of you!!!
I pray that this abortion funding, illegal alien funding fiscal monstrosity will go down in flames, but I agree DFG. We all know that Boehner and McConnell are totally spineless, but now is not the time for this fight. Keep our powder dry until after the election, when we have the seats in Congress to repeal it, then act. To try to defund it now will only give the left ammunition—”Republicans want to take away your health care. They want grandma to die!” The GOP just needs to stay focused and keep hammering Obama on the economy.
