It was obvious, once again, and in spite of what some folks elsewhere wish to believe, Rush has great memories, fondness and affection for FReeRepublic, and for Jim.

Free Republic is Rush's show prep. What is on Free Republic one day is one conservative talk radio the next.

By the way....I have nearly totally stopped listening to Rush and the others. It was his complete failure in 2008 to cover Obama’s eligibility. Now in 2012, he is doing the same. I find it very irritating. So much so, that I just don't listen any more.

It isn't just Rush. It is nearly all of talk radio. Some topics are just off the table. For example the homosexual activist bullying. Rush and the others may take a pot shot or two at the government's socialist schools but never call for their complete shut down or urge listeners to remove their kids immediately.

I get my news from Free Republic.

I had access to a networked Xerox DocuTech (operations and maintenance) with keyboard, touch screen, optical mouse, etc. in mid-90, I didn’t realize the Xerox inventions are the main stream technology of today until I read it at FR and read by Rush...

Rush OFTEN has trouble remembering names correctly, and of people with much greater visibility and name recognition value than FreeRepublic or Jim.

Were you listening to Rush when he made the comments this morning? It would be impossible to miss the sense of affection he had about this subject.

It was Prodigy, not Compuserve.

I remember that Rush Limbaugh used to have Compuserve as an advertiser in his early days and would compare the other online services feature for feature.

In any event, what's the story on why Jim Robinson got banned from Prodigy? As I recall, that was a venture involving Sears and it never had the freedom offered by Compuserve. Yes, a prettier interface on the former but we hard-core geeks preferred the spartan command-line of CI$ we we referred to it.

I heard hannity dis Free Republic a long time ago, before I signed up. He said he got sick and tired of FREEPERS inviting him to weddings and birthdays just so they could get expensive gifts from him. He was very snarky about it. Then I signed up and found out for myself that Freepers are the greatest. I stopped listening to hannity.
Rush, to my knowldge, has bever dissed FR or FREEPERS like, say, billy o’really.
