(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama, long criticized for what opponents consider apologies for the United States to other countries, asserted to a gathering of veterans Monday that “we will never apologize.”
“Just as you protected America, we’re going to pass our country to the next generation, stronger and safer and more respected in the world,” Obama said at the 113th annual convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Reno, Nevada
“So if anyone tries to tell you that our greatness has passed, that America is in decline, you tell them this: Just like the 20th century, the 21st is going to be another great American Century,” Obama said. “For we are Americans, blessed with the greatest form of government ever devised by man, a democracy dedicated to freedom and committed to the ideals that still light the world. We will never apologize for our way of life; we will never waver in its defense.”
The president continued, “We are a nation that freed millions and turned adversaries into allies. We are the Americans who defended the peace and turned back aggression. We are Americans who welcome our global responsibilities and our global leadership. The United States has been, and will remain, the one indispensable nation in world affairs.”
Obama said earlier in the VFW speech that America is more respected now than before.
“Thanks to the extraordinary service of our men and women in uniform, we’re winding down a decade of war; we’re destroying the terrorist network that attacked us; we’re strengthening the alliances that extend our values,” Obama said. “And today, every American can be proud that the United States is safer and stronger and more respected in the world.”

That is ripe for a Team Romney ad: Obama saying, “we will never apologize” and then showing all the apologies Obama has made since 2008.
What has it been - a week, ten days after he had the Beast apologize to Pakistan? Sure the public is stupid, but we're not THAT stupid!

This is a good move by Obama. He found a speech writer who knows what Americans want to hear and doesn’t care what Obama actually believes. “You can fool all of the people some of the time . . . ‘
Did he also tell them that he attended a NON Christian Church with his wife for 20 years, the same wife that shares his values...never proud of America until her husband came on the scene.
Did he mention he was a worthless piece of trash, I think he should have at least mentioned that

Bristol Palin could put together a series of clips in which Obama has repeatedly apologized for America. Apologized for US troops. Why in the world would a group of VFW members be gathered for him anyway? Have they moved on to be the “dependent class? Proud Americans have winced at every apology, at every condemnation of Acts of Valor, at every mis- characterization of soldiers by every lying lefty in the world.. including the Lefty Commander in Chief. (I would like to say rant off.. but I am sure there is more).

Didn’t the O-man try to apologize to Japan for Hiroshima and Nagasaki? As I recall be was rebuffed, being told no apology is necessary - it was war time.

And then there was the big apology in his 2009 Cairo speech that helped fuel arson fires all across the Middle East.
Does that mean that he’s finally run out of nations and people to apologize to for the actions of our country when it was “ruled” by unenlightened non-communists?
I can't comment on that communist's honesty without getting banned, but his belief in our stupidity is well justified. Enough real live Americans voted for him that ballots from the dead and other vote fraud were able to bring in winning election totals in 2008. What other conclusion could he reach than that we have a shockingly limited level of intelligence?
How about his international apology tour?

This is either a poll-driven, radical shift in the campaign or Obama's just doing what he always does-telling an audience what they want to hear. My bet's on the latter.

Yes, he absolutely does. Face it; he has reason to believe so. This country was actually stupid enough to buy his bullshit and elect him to the highest office in the land.
He could have gotten more votes by saying, “I am DONE apologizing for America,” but it’s likely he had an apologizing dinner scheduled after dark somewhere later (since it’s Ramadamdam).
And since HE has always been apologizing for America, there is no “we” in “I” when he says it, so he’s been caught telling the truth, especially since he knows he has no “We” when HE apologizes for America.
HE hates America and all we stand for, otherwise, why would he want to “fundamentally transform America”?

I can’t understand why the folks at VFW convention even bothered to waste their time to see this carnival barker.
It would have sent a strong message if they had only had about 1/4 of the seats filled; and the others could have been enjoying the casino and not listening to the Liar in Chief.
In my unbiased opinion (read my name), Obama is getting his money's worth from polling. If you want proof, look at how his campaign strategy keeps jumping around. He has tried a dozen different approaches, and the pollsters have come back to him each time with, "that's not working either, the voters still know that you're an incompetent liar, and they still despise you". We'll keep seeing new campaign themes and memes, like the eerily communist "FORWARD!" until the pollsters report back that one of them is working. He spent far more than he took in this month, trying to pin Bain on Romney, and now oopsie, Bain is pinned on Romney and the voters consider that a positive. He'll drop Bain and switch to another attack, probably one with no truth at all, but it'll be new, and his pollsters will tell him if it's working. Obama can't keep doing things in his campaign that aren't working, he'd run out of money. That strategy only works in governing, when he can pass the bill on to our kids, so his campaign needs pollsters.
I think he omitted apologies to Poland for refering to Nazi death camps as Polish death camps, and of course hasn't apologized for all the stonewalling in the death of 300 Mexicans and the US border agent at the hands of narcoterrorists armed by the Obama Justice Dept
