The trouble is that the police would go on strike EXCEPT for arresting people who protect themselves, with firearms for example.
If the police would go on strike entirely I’ll bet that crime would drop. This isn’t meant to be an insult to the police, just an observation that we could protect ourselves a lot better than we do in this country if it were allowed.

The side effect of enforcing the law may provide a layer of protections for some people, but the intent of enforcing the law is to create a more harmonious society, an environment where free enterprise can take place with some confidence.
