Tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. in Indianapolis, the NCAA will reportedly announce how it intends to punish Penn State following its handling of the the Jerry Sandusky scandal. The penalties have been termed "unprecedented" and will be leveled at both the school itself and the football program.
According to Armen Keteyian, a source had "never seen anything like it."
Things are happening quickly, now.
Let people understand how widespread the damage can be for keeping silent and allowing this stuff to go on.
The administration of Penn State will be forced to dance for one hour, on national TV, while wearing pink tutu’s. Then they will have to admit that they like turtles. Carry on...
Good. I was a HUGE Penn State fan for decades until last fall, but I agree its time for the axe to fall.
Must mean Cal Tech AND Wittenberg College will get the Death Penalty.
HUGE PENALTY??? Fifteen yards and loss of down!
I fail to see how mass punishment of university faculty and students, sanctions against entire sports programs, that had nothing to do with Sandusky and his cabal of enablers, “teaches” anyone anything.
This is a cure for homosexual pedophilia and its tolerance by people who are now gone?
Why not just raze ol’ State down to the ground.
THAT will punish the chickenhawks who preyed on little boys and girls and the men (now dead or gone) who let them do so?
Lets go back and revoke the tax exempt status of Second Mile and re-tax everty contributor, too. After all they all are guilty, right
Make that 99.5% among the faculty and 100% among the students
What the “Death Penalty” will do is provide an incentive.
The people who suspected Sandusky had plenty of incentive to keep their mouths shut. Next time, seeing what happened to Penn State, they’ll have incentive to speak up.
That’s the theory, anyway.
I would send the message: homosexuals and child molesters ruin our society. They ruin our schools. They ruin everything. Do not tolerate them. Be vigilant, and report their transgressions at once, or else a lot of innocent people will be hurt -- and it will all be on you.
I never liked Joe Paterno. That said, if the NCAA punishes Penn State for something unrelated to competitive advantages that might have been gained, Penn State will sue and win.
College football is a tax exempt racket. It is where Republicans with too much money/time on their hands/need for an artificial identity give money to an institution that loathes them and takes their kids and tries to induct them into some cult of the Left.
No penalty will punish the real offence: the cover-up of an Administration because the perpetrator was a homosexual predator and they didn’t want to face the backlash from the PC crowd if they had called out this degenerate for what he actually was. The NCAA will say this is for covering up for a pedophile and will say nothing about the motivation for Sandusky’s pedophilia.
Also, what is the NCAA going to do about lesbian relationships between members of coaching staffs and players? Those are very common.
Death penalty????
That’s the phrase used to describe the termination of a sports program for some specified period of time.
Bulldoze Penn State to the ground and then nuke it from orbit just to be sure.
You must be a huge college football fan like myself. We all know the NCAA always punishes non-revenue schools to send a message to the big money schools - who usually get off with a slap on the wrist.
After how many years and how many lives destroyed?
Kill the football program forever.
It will be interesting to see how this ripples through society and the media, who have been pushing homosexuality to our children, and pushing sex in general at every turn.
If only PSU had just cheated and turned a blind eye when players were getting paid like USC and OSU, there wouldn’t be a problem and the NCAA would just give the school a very mild punishment.
We’ll have to wait and see what the corrupt and inept NCAA will do but the penalty should affect the SCHOOL not the football program.
I hope they are banned from having a football program forever.
When the sh!t hits the fan, there is enough for everyone.
This disgusting same-sex rape of young boys should be remembered to constantly remind the gay community of this obsession they have with boys, including those in the military who are now forced to co-habitate with these perverts.
The only thing I want to see leveled here is the entire campus.
Then why are recruiting violations punished so severely? They usually only involve a few players, coaches and alumni.
No, name them the “Bugger Me Lions” or the “Diddle Me Lions”—
None of these punishments will affect the homosexuals on campus or the homosexual groups that encourage this evil behavior. I am all in favor of taking strong measures against people involved in Sandusky’s Second Mile and anyone who helped, supported or enabled Sandusky.
These punishments have absolutely nothing to do with sending a message to child molesters. This says we are going to punish people that you correctly identify as innocent because we are afraid to confront the homosexuals and people responsible.
Just as corporations are punished for the corrupt leadership of its execs, PSU must be punished for the actions of its leaders.
That sounds fair to me. Just about right.
I am in 100% agreement with your proposal.
Who runs the NCAA? A bunch of has-been coach/athletes who are still re-living their days as sports heroes? They seem to have no problem with lesbian coaches who take advantage of young girls. They sound power hungry.
Like the NCAA did not know something was going on.....
The NCAA is there to provide for fairness, not criminality.
a mass punishment full of sound and fury, signifying nothing
However it will send a lot of teenage football player talent and coaching staff to Georgia, Alabama, USC, Ohio, Tennessee and elsewhere.
O the humanity
I would personally like to see PSU (and then all of the NCAA schools) required to institute a mandatory course required of all adults and students, about homosexual deviancy and pedophilia, how the hawks move on their victims, what causes it, the damage it causes, and the responsibility to report it. Every member of faculty and every student over 18 made a mandatory reporter. PSU required to fund a sex crimes investigation squad in the local police
I think knowledge of this was probably far and wide in certain circles.
“Then why are recruiting violations punished so severely? They usually only involve a few players, coaches and alumni.”
Recruiting violations do not result in life sentences in prison. This is criminal activity and it should be treated that way.
You are comparing apples and oranges. Recruiting violations are controlled because to let them continue will give a school that cheats an unfair advantage.
I don’t want to defend the past actions of the NCAA. I am sure they have made mistakes. This is a criminal activity. Go after the people who were responsible.
Go after the staff at the school. Find other schools for the football team and close down their program. It’s not the kids fault. They will lose millions by not having a football program and it serves them right. But again, help the kids out of this mess.
Possibly they’ll claim by not exposing this and keeping it a secret the university avoided football program-related effects from such a scandal for many years.
Penn State Athletics, and the Administration, and the Town of State College, covered up these crimes, because they were afraid it would effect the CASH FLOW brought in by the football program.
The ONLY solution is to kill the Football Program for a LONG TIME, to send a strong message to ALL of the parties involved.
There are criminal prosecutions, in fact. I don’t follow the logic that the existence of criminal prosecutions should somehow excuse the program from ncaa violations.
Homos’ bring down a great school, very sad. Hope the penlites are aimed at the entire school/athletic department and not just the football team. Total NCAA ban for 5 years, all sports, womens too. Penn State will never recover from this scandal I would not be surprised if it was booted from its conference.
My guess: nothing. The Lsisterhood” is very powerful and Title IX assures the continuation of women’s sports, with a disproportinate number of lesbian coaches.
I served as an ROTC instructor at a Southeastern Conference school in the mid/late 1990s. While I was on staff, the university fired its women’s softball coach for sleeping with her players. Reportedly, she recruited the type of girls she “kiked,” explaining why her teams were so bad.
The university fired her (for obvious reasons) and she counter-sue for wrongful termination. Guess who won?
Because lesbian coach -player relationships are cute and every guys fantasy.
Good! I hope the report is true.
Next will come the riots that have plagued this campus. Spanier needs to be in jail also. Let the games begin.
