Obama's Campaign Attack on Romney was Costly

WASHINGTON — President Obama's sharp turn to the offensive against GOP challenger Mitt Romney last month came at a steep cost: nearly $58 million.

That's how much the president's reelection campaign burned through in June as it pounded Romney's business record and personal finances; its relentless television campaign alone cost $38 million, according to campaign finance reports filed Friday with the Federal Election Commission.

The expensive barrage came even as Romney and his affiliated party committees outraised Obama and his Democratic Party fundraising partners for the second month in the row, $106 million to $70 million.

Heading into July, Romney and his party allies were left with nearly $170 million on hand, while Obama and the Democrats had $147 million.

That disparity — along with a record-breaking $20.6-million haul in June by the pro-Romney "super PAC" Restore Our Future — underscored the momentum enjoyed by Republicans in the money race, a source of sharp anxiety among Democrats.

“Heading into July, Romney and his party allies were left with nearly $170 million on hand, while Obama and the Democrats had $147 million. “

Wow.. at one time, Obama had a 10-1 advantage in that area.

Obama didn’t save the best for last, unless he thinks the Mormon Church gambit is his ace-in-the-hole.

It would work on FreeRepublic. If Obama used the Mormon Church, there are some willing to go over to the Dark Side as a protest against the LDS.

Bobo overspent from encouragment within his own cadre.

So why would Messina et al do such a thing? Because they are privileged to the internals, and thusly knowing that Bobo is gonna lose (badly), they aren't going to leave a penny in the coffers ... or otherwise the media organizations that directly profit from running these ads aren't going to be offering ex-Bobo employees any kind of jobs come January ...

Not only does the MSM collect directly from these ads, but the ads give the nattering nabobs grist for their stupid mill night after night...

Don't forget, Obama did invent the Remote Control and the Mute Button that's on it.

I think he also invented the Sham Wow too, or he gave somebody some of that free Government money to do it.

I don’t care for Confederate analogy to the Obama campaign, The Confederacy was a noble force fighting for their own Independence & freedom.

The Obama campaign is openly fighting for our dependence & slavery to him & his government. There is no comparison.

I ask you to compare it to the British barrage against Fort McHenry but not the noble confederate cause of Independence & self-government.

Indeed, even when Obama is campaigning for himself he never fails to wast vast sums of money.

“Obama wasted millions on the Baine meme. A political rope-a-dope.”

Nonetheless something that can be used against Obama in a counter attack illustrating his ignorance and deception about the private market. Baine can be turned into an example of good in the economy actually turning company’s around more effectively and frequently than Government, and without unwilling taxpayer dollars.

While travelling last week (Miami) a Cuban friend and I were talking about the election. We were both amazed at the way immigrants from South America, Central America, and the Caribbean flee leftist nations only to lean heavily towards the same policies here.

Anyway, he mentioned the spanish TV stations were obnoxiously pro-Obama. So, I decided to watch Univision & Telemundo that night.

I didn’t even make it to the actual news. Obama had commercials on constantly. All of them were touting his record of adding 4 million PRIVATE SECTOR jobs.

I can only assume those are not net jobs, or just some outright lie.

There are fewer Americans working now than when Obama took office.

The workforce has collapsed in numbers from all the discouraged workers who can’t find jobs.

So they live off of retirement they took out early and have to pay taxes on, they take SS at 62, they go on disability, they re-enter college and get more student loans, move back in with parents they once left, are supported by family members who still have resources, etc.

People are surviving however they can.

But remember this:

Fewer people are working now than when Obama took office almost 4 yrs ago.

Never forget.
