The Usual Suspects: ABC's Ross, Stephanolpoulos Point to Tea Party in Dark Knight Shooting
Breitbart ^ | 7/20/2012 | Joel B. Pollak

Posted on 07/20/2012 8:01:30 AM PDT by blueyon

On Good Morning America, ABC News' Brian Ross and George Stephanolpoulos suggested that the Tea Party might be connected to the mass shootings early this morning in an Aurora, CO theater during a screening of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. The mainstream media attempted to blame the Tea Party for the Tuscon shootings in January 2011, shortly after Republicans swept the midterm elections. Now, in the critical 2012 elections, the mainstream media seems poised to do the same--and ABC News has led the way.

Here is the exchange between reporter Brian Ross and host George Stephanopoulos about apparent suspect James Holmes:

He is probably going to turn out to be a mental patient, that crosses the whole political spectrum.

Hmm, I think your evaluation of George Stephanolpoulos is spot on........

The left is having an orgy over this. They are absolutely delighted those people were killed because they can now make some political hay about it. The lefties are claiming the NRA, Rush Limbaugh, the Tea Party, and anyone who owns a gun are guilty of these killings.

“I’m surprised. Shouldn’t they be blaming Sarah Palin?”

I expect that they will blame Rush for “firing up this right wing kook” for the last couple of days. A little pay back for outing their little plan to try and connect Bain and Bane in a way that would demonize Romney.

Different topic, same principle. I was flipping through cable channels and came across a show on E! (I think it is called Talk Soup?). Anyway, the host showed a reporter on FOX mentioning “Three letter word - J O B S.” We all know it was Biden who said it back when. However, the host mocked FOX and the reporter. Sure, it is E! but right now, there are sponges who won't associate the truth with the bias; then again, perhaps the host is unaware of the original remark.

It's Obama's fault. It happened on his watch and he is responsible.
Obama and the marxists are the ones creating the polarization of the country for their benefit.
This will give in Obama the needed excuse to crack down on known terrorist groups such as the Tea Party.

First the marxists divide the people, then they incite them, then they crush them.

You cannot compare private speculation with a network broadcasting smears nationally with an intent to politically influence.

The latter is a violation of the public trust and is immensely irresponsible and destructive.

Name spelled different. 30 years different in age? Sounds like a good slander suit to me and there actually are not very many of those. CNN has a deep pocket. Could be fun to watch.

Yup. Even if it turns out he’s not a Tea Party member, the insinuation has been made. Thats what will stick in peoples minds. Mission accomplished for the left.

Maybe then it's time to pay it back. Mitt Romney could make a statement about Fast & Furious and the administrations lies, then immediately mention this incident in Aurora in the same breath, subtlety of course. It's past time to play their game.

That’s what they said about the Kathy Gifford shooter, however when it turned out he was a BHO supporter, they stopped talking about it.

They cannot go that far. Their lawyers have probably told them to zip it on Sarah because she is a private citizen now, not an elected official.............

Didn’t stop them from blaming her for the Giffords shooting.

UPDATE from breitbart:

UPDATE: The James Holmes arrested at the Aurora theater was 24 years old and seems to be from Denver, CO, according to a Facebook profile (a similar Facebook profile linked by a local news reporter has not been confirmed as the suspect’s profile, either). There are many people with the name “James Holmes” in the area, and the James Homes on the Tea Party website could match a James Homes from Aurora, CO who is in his fifties and therefore does not fit the description of the suspect. More evidence that Ross, Stephanolpoulos and ABC rushed to blame the Tea Party without confirmation that the suspect is also the Tea Party member.

Read the last paragraph of my post. My point is that people from all points on the political spectrum tend to rush to judgment in a way that syncs with their mindset. Indeed, didn't FOX speculate early on that there were two attackers and that one of them is Indian or Iranian? FOX as the more conservative network slanted the story to suggest Amish terorists before it could verify the facts. ABC as a commie network slanted the story to blame the Tea Party before it could verify the facts.

The bottom line is that at this point, we really don't know anything about this guy or his motives. He could be a member of the Tea Party, an OWS activist, Amish convert, registered Democrat, Environmnetal Nazi, or crazy person without an agenda who decided to kill a lot of people.

Listening to the radio now. ABC News is running audio from Obama gravely commenting on the shooting, before they report on the shooting itself.

Its clear they are again using tragedy to boost the presidents poll numbers, as they will politicize EVERY bit of news between now & November.
