Arpaio: Obama birth record 'definitely fraudulent'

PHOENIX (AP) — Investigators for an Arizona sheriff's volunteer posse have declared that President Barack Obama's birth certificate is definitely fraudulent.

Members of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's posse said in March that there was probable cause that Obama's long-form birth certificate released by the White House in April 2011 was a computer-generated forgery.

Now, Arpaio says investigators are positive it's fraudulent.

Mike Zullo, the posse's chief investigator, said numeric codes on certain parts of the birth certificate indicate that those parts weren't filled out, yet those sections asking for the race of Obama's father and his field of work or study were completed.

Zullo said investigators previously didn't know the meaning of codes but that the codes were explained by a 95-year-old former state worker who signed the president's birth certificate. Zullo said a news reporter who has helped out in the probe let investigators listen in on an interview he concluded of the former state worker.

The Obama campaign declined to comment on Arpaio's allegations.

Mike Zullo, in announcing today's press conference a couple of weeks ago, described the forthcoming announcement as shocking. Well, there's nothing here that's shocking to any of us who were fallowing this story from the time the image of the purported BC was posted on the Net by the White House in April 2011. We strongly suspected it was a fake all along and the Arpaio investigation said the same thing at the March press conference. So about the only thing shocking about today's announcement is that the AP did a story on it!

Back in the March press conference, IIRC, the Arpaio team also discussed the likelihood that Obama's draft registration card was a fake as well. Any update on that today?

Following their trip to Hawaii, the investigative team saw that national security implications were more compelling than whether Obama’s birth certificate was legitimate or not. Arpaio’s team found it was a false and modified document but that this matter now needs to be handled by Congress.

Nothing will happen. The people who created the lie are in power now, and they have shown that they will do anything to stay in power. The only way to defeat them now is to go outside the bounds of their power, and take them out there. Chicago style street fighting has no rules, only winners and losers, and that is the fight we’re in right now. This video proves that Obama’s Birth Certificate was altered before it was released to the public. It also proves that Obama’s attorneys and those in Hawaii that saw Obama’s Birth Certificate were well aware that what Obama posted, was not what they provided to him. On April 27, 2011, NBC reporter Savannah Guthrie took a picture of Obama’s Birth Certificate. That photo shows the document, at that time, said Obama was born in “Huwaii”. That misspelling was “corrected” before copies were released to the press and for downloading by the public.

OK, I'm not much of an investigator. Connect the dots for me on this one. They misspelled Hawaii. What does that mean besides a typo?

It's not up to a candidate for President to address this issue. We fought hard with Sarah Palin to get conservatives a victory in 2010. Thanks to Sarah Palin it happened.

It's up to elected officials to address this and many other issues which have been ignored. Those conservatives we elected (with the exception of a few including Congressman West and Michelle Bachmann) have forgotten their conservatism. We didn't hold their feet to the fire. Now they spit in our face and in the face of Sarah Palin.

There are consequences for this. People lose faith in candidates that call themselves “conservative” (even the ones who are authentic). If we fail to hold those we elected accountable we cannot blame republicans if they get behind a candidate that is not to our liking.

There are two birth records in the paragraph you questioned...one is supposedly an original offered by Hawaii that you can observe on site. This is saying that media person Savannah Guthrie knows the word Hawaii is misspelled there...she saw it. The other one was put on the WH website and was said by them to be O’s BC. But the word Hawaii is spelled correctly.

Please re-read and notice the other point Arpaio made about indications parts of the supposed original were left blank of certain requested info about the father, but on the WH website one, that info is filled in.

I suspect he was in the bag for Romney all along. The both put on their magic underwear one leg at a time.

He just didn't want you to think he was supporting Romney ONLY because they share the same religion. So, he decided to pretend to support another candidate but to assure his real candidate would win in the end he knew he'd have to choose the one least able to win in the primary.

I think the first one he supported was Michelle Bachmann (I could be mistaken about this one) but after she dropped out he decided to fake support for Rick Santorum.
