You are so completely on point, Bray.

I remember when shoe manufacturers were all over states in the middle eastern portion of the U.S. It was a huge industry there.

Now, one would be hard pressed to find a shoe manufactured in the U.S. This destruction of the shoe industry here only took a few short years.

The whole thing is sad and ridiculous.

This week, for some reason, it seems to me that Romney has had some outstanding folks out speaking for him ...Sununu & Bob McDonnell in particular .... both have been ‘gloves off’

Agree with your assessment. They are landing haymakers .

Morning AB, All,

Finally up, got loaf of bread going in machine, dog had her breakfast, out on front porch, litter pans emptied, Gerald lived until his puddle of milk and little plate of Tender Vittles. It was close; he was on his last legs; he made it.

Had daughter and granddaughter over for long visit. Had her clean roof of porch, back white privacy fence, mow both lawns and some other odd jobs.

I painted my front porch door a forest green along with the shutters on the window alongside.

It all looks great.

We live in the swamps. Mold and mildew lives in the swamps with us. Stay still long enough and it will start to grow on your skin.

Daughter and I talked a lot about politics. She’s pretty astute, I give her that. Can’t stand Obama. I told her, with all seriousness, that Kaitlyn’s children will one day look back at this Obama presidency and ponder how on earth America fell for that one.

I believe this. Maybe not Kaitlyn’s generation as they will still be brainwashed from public schools. But the damage and horror of Obama will one day able to be discussed with all the true facts and his Muslim affiliation, his hatred of America, those pictures of him standing without hand over heart during National Anthem....by the time my 8 year old granddaughter has kids the presidency of Obama will be something her kids and their generation will laugh and mock at how incredibly stupid we were in this era.

I probably won’t be around to say I tole you so thus I so state now.

Watch Fox News, discussion of VP choice for Romney.

I think they need to stop defending Romney’s work at Bain capital. I think the Romney campaign needs to get out from under that silly, silly attack. The man had a freaking job at least....say something like that. PRETEND YOU’RE A MAN AND FIGHT BACK MITT!!!

Anyway, watching, reading....on it.

There are many provisions in the Obamacare bill that are already in place and could be effectively used for campaign purposes. These include:

It is a tax on the working poor.
They have instituted a 2-week wait period for defibrillator pacemakers.
They are taxing artificial legs and hip replacement parts.
Muslims, unions, certain corporations, and certain towns, cities and states got exemptions. (The Muslim example PO’s people like you wouldn’t believe.)

I suggest people start talking about these things to everyone you know.

And as far as I am concerned, tax’s on the medical devices is the same as taxing you for being a cripple. (Using the most p[perjorative manner of saying this as possible.)

Another way is to say “Captain Smith lost both his legs in the Iraq War, and now Obama wants to tax him for getting new legs.”

I am serious. WE should be saying this stuff. We shuold not be waiting on the Romney people. Our job is to sow Obama doubt everywhere we go.

You are so right. I think Romney has encouraged the buzz about the VP slot so that these surrogates get coverage (because the press is convinced they are “auditions”).

I think that is why the Condi leak happened as well. I don’t doubt that she was originally on a list due to her foreign policy expertise, but I also know that she said many times she wouldn’t do it. However, leaking her name got her on a couple of talk shows where she nicely lambasted Obama’s foreign policy.

David Gregory really pressed Ed Gillespie about Mitt Romney's position on Chinese uniforms for the US Olympic Team, and releasing prior year tax returns. I guess he ran out of time to ask what kind of tree Mitt Romney would be, because David needs to provide Dick Durbin with time to spread lies and present more shiny objects to amuse and distract the liberal media.

By the way, Barack Obama's confession that he feels bad about not being able to present his message to the American people is being totally under-reported by the media.

Think about it; Barack Obama has come out of the closet as the first Guilty Black Liberal in America, and the media ignores it. Almost like his college transcripts, or the 6 imaginary women he turned into a girlfriend in the book he wrote.

Dear Lord Miss M!

You are taking over my job but you do it so well!

I normally tell the Repubs what they should say but hey, I tip my hat to yon expertise.

I mean, why can’t Mittens’ campaign say as you suggest?

I’ll tell you something else, while we’re on the subject....all those things they like to tout as being so “beloved” by the American people....how about the Mittens people lay out a little truth on that matter?

This thing about kids under age 26, lookit....young people at that age are very healthy, their health insurance is cheap, this is nowhere near the big deal they make it to be. I daresay if a law of some sort were passed to allow these young adults to remain on policies until an elder age (and most work type policies do cover these folks if they are in college) it would probably pass. The health insurers would build the cost, again which would not be all that much, into the cost of a family plan.

This is not some sort of gilded gift here, the Mittens people could remind.

As for pre-existing conditions, people, THIS IS VERY, VERY expensive.

Again, most employment policies cover pre-existing conditions.

But if you’ve got cancer or some other thing and want to buy coverage after the fact....IT IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!

They’re not going to do this for nothing.

Here in Delaware there is a rule that health insurance policies must insure end stage renal disease.

I don’t know why but this is the big part of our health insurance problem, you got fifty little fiefdoms across the fruited plains, with insurance commissioners playing politics, cover this, cover that, Joe’s the council guy has hernias....must cover that. Coverage for such as AIDS is always a sticking point. If you want the homosexual vote you force your insurance guy to include coverage mandatory in all policies sold in the state. Yes, even MEN must purchase pregnancy coverage. It’s the bigger problem here.

BUT....by chance I was researching obtaining health insurance gap coverage for Medicare and happened to get some quotes.

For coverage of end stage renal disease the cost was...hold your breath...

TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS A MONTH!!!

Yeah the little state insurance fiefdoms can demand this sort of stuff that coverage get reduced by forcing it into the greater health pool.

BUT IT AIN’T FREE!

You think the Mittens people might start pointing this sort of thing out?

I’m jus’ sayin’.

Kelly Ayotte is considered a possible Romney VP candidate, will she say something in that regard?

TWO liberals from New England on the GOP ticket? Almighty G-d, forbid it!

I agree we need a massive grassroots effort to inform and to turn out the vote. The objective should be to make the election a referendum on Obama and his record. Playing defense responding to these outrageous charges won't cut it.

I have no doubt Romney will go on the offense. I would like his surrogates to go after Obama's personal narrative. He is a fraud and a poseur with lots of unanswered questions about how this community organizer became the President without any real vetting by the press.

The Arpaio press conference is Tuesday. Hopefully, he will come up with some nuggets that can be exploited raising more questions about Obama's personal story. Polls already show the public is skeptical about Obama's birth certificate, his religion, his associations with Ayers, Rev. Wright, Farrakhan, Rezko, failure to disclose his school records, etc.

Romney can use the super PACs and other surrogates to feed this skepticism and be above the fray by just saying he has no comment and that Obama must address these issues himself. We all saw how Trump forced Obama to release his alleged long form birth certificate, which has really been proven to be a fraud. This will put Obama on the defensive and result in lots of whinning on his part and his supporters.

++++

Michael Savage will probably complain that SNL has plagierized him. I heard his parody on this last week during a middle of the night rebroadcast - a good cure for insomnia.

There is blog chat that Obie's October surprise involves Bain involvement with a company whose function involved "medical waste" , ie; aborted babies. That's why they can't give up on Bain. If they lose Bain, they've got less than nothing.

The Oct. surprise, of course, would involve an incident that happened after Mitt left.

AEI's John Hawkinson on Lucianne has the story about the day Mitt left Bain. There was quite a kerkuffle, as Mitt's sudden departure was clearly impactful and even included a prayer session on that day. Hawkinson's conclusion: it's clear Mitt would be having no further involvement. Further, when Mitt was primarying for the Mass gov. job, Dems tried to prove Mitt was not eligible because he hadn't maintained residence and was totally involved out of state.

I sense a shift today in Dems talking points away from 'felon' towards Bain outsourcing. Sen Kyl is pissed...as well he should be. Obie is outsourcer in chief and there are lots of incidences with Solyndra, Fisker auto's, and others.

Once again Miss M you covet my prize.

Your prognostication skills are quite keen.

I think the Condi leak was very deliberate and for the reasons you said.

And for once Juan Williams got something right. He said that the leak went to Drudge, NOT any liberal outlets.

Yes, I’m quite sure Mittens’ people leaked the Condi tidbit for some coverage.

They need to get working on fighting Obama.

I’ll end here by remarking on my husband’s shout out from his man cave upon hearing all the talk about Romney releasing his tax returns....he said, my mild-mannered guy...”WHY DOESN’T ROMNY SAID HE’ll RELEASE HIS TAX RETURNS WHEN OBAMA RELEASES HIS COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS”?

Somebody phone up the Mittens’ campaign and tell them to read this thread.

We got it all figured out.

okay, I got a SERVICE UNAVAILABLE signal.

To everyone, keep refreshing your browser. It’ll eventually work.

AB, you ought to seriously consider approaching JimR and asking him how coincidental this is that it happens on so many Sunday mornings.

Why does this forum want to destroy this thread? I simply do NOT believe this is coincidence. I don’t see this any other time of week but Sunday mornings.

Good reminder about the news blackout.

Another case in point, Romney’s NAACP speech gets reported as a audience boo rather than the standing ovation at the end.
