Rising temperatures caused by climate change may lead to reduced milk production among cows in the southern United States, a new study suggests.
University of Washington researchers analyzed climate and dairy industry data and concluded that the effects of climate change on milk production by Holstein cows through 2080 will vary across the United States due to major regional differences in humidity and swings between day and night temperatures.
The study concluded that "regions that are currently experiencing the greatest losses [in milk production] are also the most susceptible: They are projected to be impacted the most by climate change."
Study author Yoram Wanker summed up the findings this way: "Cows are happy in parts of Northern California and not in Florida."
The study was scheduled for presentation Thursday at the Conference on Climate Change at the University of Washington, in Seattle. The data and conclusions of research presented at meetings should be viewed as preliminary until published in a peer-reviewed journal.

So northern dairy farmers will reap the windfall.
Yes, their yield will go up.
CLIMATE CHANGE CAUSES DIARRHEA IN WASHINGTON, D.C. AREA
Yawn
????????
Rising temperatures caused by a Presidential change may lead to increased job production among citizens in the southern United States, a new study suggests.
Michigan apples and cherries are a 90% loss this year (early bloom followed by cold) and peaches were a 95% loss.
On the other hand, I’ve heard that apples and cherries are doing great in the pacific northwest. Not sure how the southern peach crops are doing.
It makes good sense to grow diverse crops in as many places as possible.
Remember how “weather is not climate”...when it undermines “global warming”...but it is...when it supports it.
Funny how that works.
What hogwash!...or should I say cowwash!? It’s nothing but a continuation of the UN manipulation to gain control. At the bottom of the article it references WHO.
From the article:
“Using U.S. Department of Agriculture statistics, if you look at milk production in the Southeast versus the Northwest, it’s very different,” study co-author and postdoctoral researcher in the university’s Climate Impacts Group, Guillaume Mauger, said in the news release. “It’s reasonable to assume that some of that is due to the inhospitable environment for cows in the Southeast.”

Hell ... that's 68 years from now. When the cows are THAT old it's a wonder that they'll be able to produce any milk at all !
Like way back in the ‘time machine’ when ‘they’ invented Daily Savings Time.
An old farmer was being interviewed and ‘they’ were trying to sell it to him (DST) and were telling him of all the good things he could do with the extra hour of sunlight in the evening.
He stood there, scratched, then spit and said “When is someone going to teach the animals they are supposed to wait an hour before being ‘serviced’ every day? - and if you should happen to be able to do it, they will have to be retrained to go back to their old ways in 6 months or so”.
Oldeconomybuyer, you found a trend here! Amazing that the climate changers are touting this in China as well!

I just got me some Ranier cherries here in WA. I luvs me some Ranier cherries.
Someone needs to make a list of all the ‘threats’ and hysteria dems had dumped on the rest of us about ‘global warming’... Everything from it causes asthma to most major cities will be under water etc... Put up or shut up guys... we’re getting tired of scare tactics.. endless scare tactics... endless, endless endless.
Most of the Michigan cherries are tart cherries for baking. Canned pie filling prices will go up but we’ll survive.
Sounds more like an excuse to raise the price of milk and milk products.
Does it really matter? I thought Southerners usually drank Coca-Cola with breakfast?
To quote my grandfather (who milked a lot of cows), “Some people don’t have the sense God gave a goose.”
I recently traveled the length of Kalifornia. I looked for the happy cows that escaped the Wisconsin winters and fled to California.
To my surprise, I found the California dairies to be cow prisons. The cows were penned in close confines with no grass and some had sun shelters, others did not. There were massive stacks of hay and long feeding troughs. The imprisoned cows can only eat, crap, and make milk. The happy cows on the ads are the equivalent of the Jews in Erinstalt and totally unrepresentative of the concentration camps.
Strangely believe it, there are similar such dairies in the Eastern Provence of Saudi Arabia that are undoubtedly copies of the California milk production technology. The heat there is always intense.
Me thinks the writers have not traveled enough to really grasp the effect of heat on milk production.

Amen, brother!
Although I do prefer milk on corn flakes...
Monkeys might fly out of my butt, too. But it’s extremely unlikely.
Crap “journalism”. No wonder these turds are down to a very thin newletter (it’s not thick enough to call a magazine anymore) that you *might* see in your dentist’s office.
Through 2080!
FING HILLARIOUS!
Through 2080.
They can’t give me the correct weather report a week out, and they are modelling to 2080.
I don’t subscribe to the comedy channel, but this must playing on it.
Through 2080.
They can’t tell me it will rain 3 days out and they are modelling out to 2080. 68 years from now.
JUST F ING HILLARIOUS.
The AGW crowd has gone flat nuts and is now comically desperate. They will do ANYTHING to push AGW so as to implement UN Agenda 21.
Agenda 21 is an international plan to control the people of all nations. In the USA, Agenda 21 is a rural land grab to make rural land off limits, and force Americans into cities.
This first video by Michael Shaw explains United Nations Agenda 21 in detail:

This second video by Rosa Koire explains how your local government is currently installing Agenda 21:

This video shows how hard it is to fight entrenched local politicians who are pushing for Agenda 21 and dont know it or dont care:

In 1968, the Club of Rome invented global environmental crisis as the fundamental boogeyman under which they could implement world governance under the umbrella of the New World Order.

In America the goal is to move Americans into cities, where they can control our movements, associations, energy use and consumption.
And a pig MAY fly in the North!!
You know it's a slow news day when they include crapola like this as "news". "Might", "may", "maybe", and "could" do NOT make news stories, they make nonsense and a waste of time and news print.

because everyone knows that climate cycles neither change or vary, everything moves in straight and predictable line - NOT@!@@@
Climate change............BS! It’s called SUMMER
I've heaard this used to describe LOTS of things; but never have I seen exactly what it means!
It appears to mean something HIGH classed but when averaged over the 'world' I'd take it to mean mediocre!
Im just took my 3 yo, Ellie Mae, to the vet yesterday to find out why her udder is so huge. (I suspected mastitis.)
I do NOT milk her(or Gracie) and she is NOT pregnant.
The vet said it is due to estrogen in the grass she’s eating!
She should start to shrink soon.

I had to try to get milk out of her every couple of hours once the curdled milk got out of the teet...Don't know anything about is being caused by grass, more than likely a bacteria or such....I also penned her a couple times a day made her lay down and put warm towels on the total utter. Once she felt the warmth it must have given her some relief. When I came into the barn with the towels she was no problem penning and getting her to day down...
Without a kid, unless they are milk goats they shouldn't be producing milk....check to feed you give her for their ingredients. If she is producing milk and the utter is red and inflamed, you have to get the milk out, even if its only an ounce or two. It took several weeks for her to come around and the inflammation to go down. Mastitis is painful, I don't know the cause and I didn't take my doe to the vet, but I wonder, if she is inflammed why the vet didn't give you anti-biotics for her (poor girl, I feel sorry for her)
My girl ended up with what I called a *busted utter* she did kid the following season, 1/2 of her utter hung down and she could only produce milk for her kid on one side of the utter...the teets didn't work on the other side and she looked kind of funny with one half of her utter hanging down like a bucks scrotum...but it took a while for the whole thing to clear up.......the gal that helped me raised black angus and was probably as good as a vet in knowing her breed, but had utter problems with her cows when they calfed...
What kind of meds. did the vet give you. Is the vet you went to one that treats farm animals...my vet on the farm made house calls when something was wrong...(thats what I mean by being a farm vet). Hope things come out OK and try the warm towels if the utter is swollen, and red. Thats about all I can think of for now, keep me posted on her progress....3 years old is still a young goat
If it were my goat, I'd see if I could get some milk out of her...if you decide to use warm towels as a treatment. Not HOT, but quite warm...seems to help with the goats discomfort (pain)
I bought cherries this week for 98 cents/pound and peaches for 69 cents/pound.
Non-science nonsense.
I would like your grandfather...

You must have forgotten that you are talking to the Gold Medal Winner in dairy judging FFA Competition at the 1957 Dairy Cattle Congress in Waterloo Iowa. I thought so.
Friesian Holsteins originated in northern Holland. When I was a kid all the bigshot dairy farmers went for that breed because of their milk production.

This one looks to be a descendant of Burkgov Inka deKol a famous and very productive sire from the Cache Valley Breeders in Logan Utah. He was the grand father of thousands of offspring. How do I know this? The distinctive shoulder spots found only on his offspring.

Fascinating. It's a work of art.
