Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has reportedly been mentioned as strong a contender for GOP presumptive presidential nominee Mitt Romneys running mate, but Rice told CBS This Morning last month that there was no way she would run for vice president...

'Cause there's no way she'd bring anything good to the ticket.
Sarah Palin said Condi would be a great pick. Rush is talking about it now.
OK
I thought all along it was she that was the sticking point. If she was willing he’d pick her in a heart beat.
I don’t think picking a black person for VP is going to impress blacks anyway. Just another black sister subservient to a white guy. From their point of view they are losing ground.
What you said!!
I was going to say the exact same thing/
I think Condi would be an excellent choice. Those who say they will note note and unhappy with Romney really need to consider the next 4 years. Rush is right!!!
I wouldn’t want my name attatched to Romney’s either.
what else could Sarah say, that rice would be a lousy pick??? There is no way rice will be VP as she doesnt want it and wouldnt pass the vetting.
This should be the end of it then. If she doesn’t want the job, we shouldn’t have to listen to it. I really can’t blame her though, I wouldn’t want to be a politician in this joint these days either. Who in their right mind would want to put themselves and their families through all the commie ‘RAT sh*t slinging by the ‘RAT toadies in the state run “media”.
“Last month.”
And how things can change.
Collective sighs of relief from loins all over as panties are unwadded, on FR and elsewhere.
I really hope he picks Ryan, Palin, or West..
Romney does not need to spend the next 4 months defending W’s foreign policy.
I hope Condi means it — no way do I want her elected to any Repub. office.
LOL!
That was last month.
Liberals do not remember anything they said last month.
Condi is no conservative.
Romney is no conservative.
The Etch-a-Sketch has been shaken.
I can't think of many that would be dumber that that choice.
Actually, Sarah was circumspect in her praise stating the obvious that Condi had more experience than Obama and would make a better VP than Biden. She did say that she wanted both on the ticket to be pro-life but it is Congress that would legislate any changes in abortion law.
She would’ve been an interesting counter to Hillary after 0bama drops Biden. I’m thinking the VP pick WILL be female, possibly Susan Martinez or Nikki Haley now.. Ryan would be great, as he would be a good ‘attack dog’ in a gentlemanly and intellectual manner.
Mitt is now claiming to be pro-life despite his past record...but conservatives would be even more skeptical of his sincerity on that issue if he picked a pro-abortion VP.
I haven’t read Drudge since he endorsed Romney. He’s lost all credibility for me. Seems like I was correct to do so.
Dr. Rice has administrative, national security, and foreign affairs experience, and her qualifications easily exceed those of any of the three men currently running.
Regardless of how any of us feel about her as a candidate, it’s sad that her race and gender are mentioned before her accomplishments.
PERIOD!
Well said. I just hope the couple of folks that were on here yesterday being a RIce Cheerleader understand this.
We've been dealt a bad hand with the media...but you play the hand you are dealt...and this would play THEIR game.
There is absolutely no upside in digging up an old fossil from the Bush administration. Romney needs to completely separate himself from the Bush years.
How about leaking Dick Cheney's name next? (THAT should drive the media completely bonkers!)
Exactly. Sarah is trying to show the RINOs that she is a team player, and that she will support their people this time. She expects support from them when it’s her turn, but I think it is unlikely she’ll get it. That’s not how they play the game.
If only a mere majority of blacks stay Democrat, that would spell big trouble for the Donkees.
YIPEE!
You’re the one that likes to give our money or materials to places like NK
to not develop weapons, yet they do it anyway and we keep giving, giving, giving.
I'd prefer that Rush, Gov. Palin and Mark Levin were on the SAME page.
She’s been saying this for a long time. But thank goodness Drudge got millions of hits. /s
EXACTLY!...however..if she were to run with Obama, she'd be the Queen of the Media.....such vision, experience and grace....she can even play concert piano!....makes me sick!
“It’s sad that her race and gender are mentioned before her accomplishments”
Well said. I could not agree with you more.
A President and VP don’t have to agree on everything but a VP has to agree to work to enact any initiative the President pushes.
So if Romney picks a pro-life VP it can only mean he will ignore the issue during his term.
Rice would be a much better pick to the majority of Republicans than Palin who are not Freepers (believe it or not). Do it Romney. It would show real guts and I love watching heads explode.
Perhaps Romney is the sacrificial lamb that ensures 0bama’s re-election. That would explain why the media selected him to be the Republican candidate, just as they did with McCain.
Do you love losing?
Thank God, I hope she means it, we don’t need her running.
I would like to have another pro-life President like Reagan or the second Bush, but that only helps on the margins--the courts have taken it on themselves to impose pro-abortion policies on the nation and unless the pro-life side can get overwhelming support (to ratify a constitutional amendment) I don't see things getting much better.
I would bet the farm, my car, and my favorite jammies that Hillery would never accept the VP slot under Obama.
You don’t think being his Sec State hasn’t been humiliating enough?
